The glory days of “Gold Box” fantasy role-playing games are about to make a comeback, as Tactical Simulations Interactive today announced a 2016 release for Seven Dragon Saga for PC. Seven Dragon Saga is a classically styled RPG based upon an original pen and paper role-playing system designed by Strategic Simulations Interactive alumni Keith Brors and David Shelley.
Self-funded for most of its development, Seven Dragon Saga has launched on Kickstarter today to fund the final round of production. Backer rewards include special items such as DRM-free copies of Seven Dragon Saga, Code Wheels to assist players in solving puzzles in-game, Journals containing more info about the game world and copies of the pen ‘n paper version of the game.
Slightly Mad Studios and Bandai Namco today announced that Project Cars has been delayed again and is now scheduled for release in mid-May for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC. The release date shift is due to the team’s continued dedication to polishing the game.
Atlus today announced it will publish the tactical RPG, Lost Dimension, for the PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Vita in Summer 2015.

Ubisoft and Carbon Games today announced that AirMech Arena is headed to the Xbox One and PlayStation 4. The competitive real-time action strategy game will be free-to-play on Xbox Live and PlayStation Network in Spring 2015.
In AirMech Arena, players control powerful transforming weapons known as AirMechs to protect their bases and overtake enemy fortresses. Gamers will collect up to nine available AirMechs, each with its own unique abilities, and command them to deploy defense units from the air or to transform into ground mode and engage armies on the front line. As they gain experience, they will earn kudos (in-game currency) to unlock upgrades, new units and pilots to expand their collection, and customize their appearance with exclusive skins and effects.
AirMech Arena allows players to complete quests and earn rewards in solo games, or partner with up to four friends for cooperative play online. Competitors can test their skills in ranked matches, or spar for practice in unranked mode. Teamwork is vital to succeed in multiplayer as allies must manage resources and defend their bases while simultaneously attempting to capture their opponent’s territory. The game also supports a spectator mode, which gives gamers the opportunity to view each other’s matches and see the top competitive players in action.
Triumph Studios today announced Age of Wonders III: Eternal Lords. The second major expansion for the strategy game Age of Wonders III, Eternal Lords is set for release on April 14th.
