Ascendance, the second DLC pack for Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare is live on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, and PC. Ascendance features four new multiplayer maps, the OHM weapon (a 2-in-1 directed energy light machine gun/shotgun), the OHM Werewolf custom variant, and Infection, the next entry in Exo Zombies. In addition, the DLC pack also includes the all-new Exo Grapple ability playlist, which delivers a faster way to reach strategic vantage points, and also doubles as a secondary weapon to take down the competition.
Turtle Rock Studios and 2K challenge the Evolve community to land 2,000,000 headshots on Monsters while playing as Parnell this weekend between 12:01 AM ET on Friday, May 1st and 12:01 AM ET on Monday, May 4th. If the challenge is met by the community, everyone who plays Evolve during that time will be rewarded with the Parnell Predator Skin, absolutely free. And if the Evolve community blows past the above goal by landing 2,800,000 headshots on Monsters while playing as Parnell, everyone who plays Evolve online during that time will earn the entire Assault Predator Skin Set.
Two free maps are also coming to Evolve today on PlayStation 4 and PC. Previously released on Xbox One, the Broken Hill Mine and Broken Hill Foundry maps introduce two totally unique environments: mining caves below the planet’s surface and a fully industrial setting that has you sprinting down factory corridors. Each of these maps also introduces new campaign effects while playing Evolve’s Evacuation campaign. These maps will be available on all platforms today before 8:00 PM ET.

Indie developer OPQAM and Reverb Triple XP announced today that Project Root has launched on the PlayStation 4, PlayStation Vita and Xbox One. A modern remake of the shoot ‘em up action genre, Project Root features platform cross-buy for PlayStatoin gamers, allowing them to purchase the game once and receive both versions: PS4 and PS Vita.

Jagex today announced the release of its new team multiplayer FPS title, Block N Load. To celebrate, the game will launch straight into a Steam Free Weekend, allowing players with a Steam account to immediately jump into the constructing, attacking, defending and destroying action in this online 5v5 shooter that is a mix of build and battle gameplay.
Block N Load is available to purchase from Steam with a 15% discount off its $14.99 price for the launch week.
Microsoft has revealed the Xbox Games with Gold offering for May. On Xbox One, Xbox Live Gold members can download CastleStorm: Definitive Edition for free during the month of May. Pool Nation FX is also being offered for an additional month. On Xbox 360, Starting May 1st, Mafia II will be free for Xbox Live Gold members through May 15th. Then on May 16th, Xbox Live Gold members can download F1 2013 for free through May 31st.

Starbreeze today announced an agreement with 505 Games to publish the next-gen console adaptations of Overkill’s The Walking Dead, slated for a 2016 release on PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
Overkill’s The Walking Dead, based on the The Walking Dead series created by Robert Kirkman, is currently under development by Overkill – A Starbreeze Studio. The game will deliver a completely new co-op experience to The Walking Dead universe, exploring new characters and storylines.
