Danganronpa Another Episode Coming in September

NIS America has released a new trailer for Danganronpa Another Episode: Ultra Despair Girls, which will launch on September 1st on the PlayStation Vita as both a physical and digital release. Unlike the first two games, in this action adventure title players will take on the role of two heroines, Komaru Naegi and Toko Fukawa, as they are thrust into a despair-ridden Towa City with one goal – –escape.

Compulsion Games Launches Kickstarter for We Happy Few

Steam Hardware Pre-Order on Now

Valve, GameStop, and EB Games today announced the first pre-order offerings for Steam Hardware devices has begun. A collection of hardware designed to expand the Steam gaming experience into the living room and beyond, the new Steam Hardware devices are targeted to arrive this fall.

In an exclusive partnership, starting June 4th and for a limited time, customers in the U.S. may pre-order an Alienware Steam Machine, Steam Link, and/or a Steam Controller from GameStop or Steam and have their order available on October 16th, weeks before the official launch of November 10th.

In Canada, EB Games will join Steam in offering the Steam Link and Steam Controller as part of this pre-order program.

EA Trax Returns to Madden NFL Franchise

EA Sports revealed that Madden NFL 16 will celebrate the return of its EA Trax soundtrack. This year’s game will feature a soundtrack from a multi-genre roster of soon-to-be- breakthrough artists and superstar acts, with the full list to be revealed this summer.

In addition to the new soundtrack, EA Sports is teaming up with Spotify to offer a new Madden NFL channel on the streaming music network. Available now, the channel currently features some of the greatest songs from the previous editions of the Madden NFL franchise, letting fans relive their favorite songs of games gone by. When Madden NFL 16 launches on August 25th, the Spotify Playlist will be updated with the full game soundtrack, and throughout the NFL season music-lovers can come back every week on “Madden Music Mondays” for fresh songs and artists, as well as special themed playlists.

GNOG Coming to PS4 in 2016

Double Fine and KO-OP announced the upcoming launch of their puzzle-adventure game GNOG in 2016 on PlayStation 4, featuring support for the Morpheus VR headset. The game is being made possible through financing from Sony’s Pub Fund program for independent developers.

Official Mortal Kombat X Tournament Prize Pools at $100k and Rising

Following the success of Mortal Kombat X’s “Blue Steel” Sub-Zero skin DLC, Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment is supporting the competitive pro fighting game scene with tournament sponsorships and prize pool contributions. With a month remaining before the July 11th ESL Mortal Kombat X Worldwide Competitive Program finals, WBIE is doubling its commitment to the prize pool and raising it to $100,000 USD.

The Blue Steel Sub-Zero Skin is still available for purchase for $1.99 with the proceeds to be used to fund the following initiatives:

  • Further contribution to the ESL Mortal Kombat X Pro-League finals prize pool. The deadline for the Blue Steel Sub-Zero Skin to fund this tournament is June 29.
  • Establishing a Mortal Kombat X prize pool of $50,000 at EVO (July 17-19)
  • Funding a series of Mortal Kombat X tournaments including:
    • Combo Breaker (May 22-24)
    • MCM Comic Con – UK Invitational Tournament (May 23)
    • CEO (June 26-28)
  • Other tournament support to be confirmed later
