2K Announces Final 23 New Roster Additions for WWE 2K16

In 2K’s six and final reveal for WWE 2K16’s ongoing Roster 3:16, the remaining 23 WWE Superstars and Divas have been announced for inclusion in the forthcoming franchise release on October 27th. This week’s additions to WWE 2K16’s extensive roster include Baron Corbin, Big E, Bray Wyatt, Brian Pillman, Colin Cassady, Enzo Amore, Jey Uso, Jimmy Uso, Kofi Kingston, Konnor, Mark Henry, Mikey Whipwreck, Ricky Steamboat, Rusev, Savio Vega, Stephanie McMahon-Helmsley, Sting (1999), Sting (Blonde), Stunning Steve Austin, Undertaker (American Badass), Undertaker (Ministry), Viktor and Xavier Woods.

August 2015 Video Game Sales Results

The NPD Group has released its retail report for the month of August. While software sales were down year-over-year in August by 10%, hardware sales were up 2%. Overall, total industry sales were down 2% to $548 million. Once again, PlayStation 4 was the top-selling platform in August as well as No. 1 in software sales.

The top selling games of August were as follows:

1. Madden NFL 16
2. Minecraft
3. Gears of War: Ultimate Edition
4. Grand Theft Auto V
5. LEGO Jurassic World
6. Rare Replay
7. Until Dawn
8. Call of Duty: Black Ops Combo Pack
9. Batman: Arkham Knight
10. Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare

Albino Lullaby Episode 1 Coming Tomorow

Indie studio Ape Law is set to release Episode 1 of their psychological horror game Albino Lullaby for PC tomorrow, September 15th. The studio, comprised of veterans from Bioshock: Infinite, Chivalry: Medieval Warfare and the Tomb Raider reboot, will launch the fully VR compatible game on Steam. Albino Lullaby: Episode 1 is available now for $9.99 or as part of the Season One Pass for $24.99.

Guitar Hero Live – Avenged Sevenfold

Activision and FreeStyleGames today announced the three Avenged Sevenfold songs that will be playable in the GHTV Premium Shows in Guitar Hero Live. The songs are:

“Shepherd of Fire”
“Buried Alive”
“Nightmare”

Multi-platinum rock band Avenged Sevenfold is famous for their live shows, and these tracks will feature concert footage recorded at the band’s headline performance in front of 70,000 fans at England’s Download Festival. Fans who pre-order Guitar Hero Live will be able to access this bonus Avenged Sevenfold content, which includes this premium show, a custom note highway and more.

Guitar Hero Live will be available October 20th on PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 3, Xbox One and Xbox 360, and Wii U.

PAX Prime Firaxis Mega Panel Video

The Firaxis Games team behind 2K’s upcoming releases, XCOM 2 and Civilization: Beyond Earth – Rising Tide, spoke at PAX Prime recently, including Jake Solomon (creative director on XCOM 2), Greg Foertsch (art director on XCOM 2), Will Miller (co-lead designer on CivBERT) and David McDonough (co-lead designer on CivBERT). During the panel, the team discussed varying approaches to design, while also providing fans with an in-depth look at CivBERT’s new diplomacy system and hybrid affinities, as well as revealing new aliens and enemies fans can look forward to in XCOM 2.

Grand Ages: Medieval Delayed on PS4 to October 13th

Kalypso Media today confirmed a new release date for the console version of its upcoming grand strategy title, Grand Ages: Medieval. Due to manufacturing issues, the PlayStation 4 version is now scheduled for release on October 13th. The Limited Special Edition retail boxed version and digital release of the PC edition remains the same – September 25th.

NBA 2K16 Presents Living’ Da Dream, A Spike Lee Joint

2K today introduced the new trailer for NBA 2K16 Livin’ Da Dream, A Spike Lee Joint. The footage features an inside preview of this year’s MyCAREER experience as directed by Spike Lee, specific to some of the key individuals, decisions and experiences players can expect face on their path to NBA stardom.

NBA 2K16 will be available for PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 3, Xbox One and Xbox 360, and PC on September 29th.

LEGO Dimensions Voice Talent Revealed

In a new video, Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment revealed today some of the famous voice talent in LEGO Dimensions, launching September 27th.

Some of the talent and entertainment properties featured in the video include Michael J. Fox who played Marty McFly and Christopher Lloyd who played Doc Brown in the Back to the Future films, and have re-recorded and reprised their roles in LEGO Dimensions. From The LEGO Movie, Chris Pratt returns as Emmet, Elizabeth Banks as Wyldstyle, Alison Brie as UniKitty and Charlie Day as Benny, among other actors from the film. And as part of the original LEGO Dimensions story, Joel McHale is X-PO, the game’s robot guide, and Gary Oldman is Lord Vortech, the evil mastermind who seeks to control the LEGO Multiverse.

LEGO Dimensions includes many other famous voice actors in addition to those featured in the video. Members of the original cast of Ghostbusters, The Lord of the Rings, The Simpsons and Scooby-Doo will also be reprising their roles for the game. In addition, Chris Pratt is Owen Grady and Irrfan Khan is Simon Masrani from Jurassic World, along with other members of the film’s original cast. Peter Capaldi is the 12th Doctor, Jenna Coleman is Clara Oswald, Michelle Gomez is Missy from Doctor Who, and many other original actors from the long running British science fiction television series have also returned to voice their characters in the game as well. From the world of DC Comics, Troy Baker is Batman and Tara Strong is Harley Quinn. Stephen Merchant is Wheatley and Ellen McLain is GLaDOS from the Portal video game series.
