Microsoft Studios today announced that Forza Motorsport 6 – the biggest Forza ever created, featuring 460 cars, 26 world-famous locales and 24-car multiplayer – is now available exclusively on Xbox One.
Most returning Forza players will begin the game with at least one free car in Forza Motorsport 6 as part of the Forza Rewards program, with experienced players receiving up to eight cars in their garage, including the Lamborghini Aventador and Ferrari #62 Risi Competizione 458 Italia GTLM.
Additionally, all players of the Forza Motorsport 6 demo will immediately unlock the game’s cover car, the all-new 2017 Ford GT, in the full game at no additional cost.
Featuring a racing-inspired design with iconic sports car styling and custom automotive sound effects, the Forza Motorsport 6 Limited Edition Xbox One console is also now available for $449 CAD. The bundle includes a 1TB hard drive, matching wireless controller with rubberized diamond grips, and a digital copy of Forza Motorsport 6.
Electronic Arts today launched the NBA Live 16 demo on Xbox Live and PlayStation Network. The demo is currently live on Xbox Live, and will be appearing on PlayStation Network later today. The free demo gives fans their first chance to check out the brand new Live Pro-Am mode, featuring both the competitive Live Run and cooperative Summer Circuit. Those looking for an offline experience can also choose one of six NBA teams and take the floor in an exhibition game, or get a head-start on learning the nuances of the game in the Learn Live tutorials.
Those who download the demo will be able to progress and customize their in-game character by playing Live Pro-Am and transfer their progress to the full game when it launches on September 29th. EA Access members can also play the full retail version of NBA Live 16 before it’s released for a limited time starting September 24th, only on Xbox One.
Iceberg Interactive and French developer Seaven Studio today announced that their rhythm-driven platformer Inside My Radio will be available for purchase on Xbox One on September 18th.
Electronic Arts today announced that NHL 16 is now available in stores nationwide on Xbox One and PlayStation 4. NHL 16 is built with more fan involvement than ever before, delivering the most requested features, modes, and new levels of depth and innovation to each experience. Last month, over 180,000 fans participated in the first ever EA Sports Hockey League (EASHL) Beta. Feedback from that trial, combined with top requests coming from the forums, social channels and Ask NHL, resulted in key additions to the game just before launch including: EASHL Drop-In, a new EASHL badge system, online/offline shootout mode and the United Center.
XSEED Games today announced that Senran Kagura 2: Deep Crimson, the second 2.5D entry in the busty beat-‘em-up series, is now available exclusively for the Nintendo 3DS. The game is available digitally via the Nintendo eShop, as well as in a limited “Double D Edition” retail release, the latter of which includes two music discs containing a total of 60 tracks and representing the game’s entire score.
Bungie and Activision today announced that Destiny: The Taken King, the follow-up to the Destiny saga, is now available at retailers and through console digital stores. Destiny: The Taken King expands the universe with new adventures, challenges, enemies, and weapons. Additionally, the ‘King’s Fall’ Raid will go live at 1:00 p.m. EST on Friday, September 18th, giving players in the Destiny community the biggest new challenge and commensurate rewards to date.
NeocoreGames has released a new trailer for Van Helsing: Final Cut, showcasing all the features in the gothic-steampunk Action-RPG. The Incredible Adventures of Van Helsing: Final Cut will be available September 23rd on Steam for $44.99. Anyone who owns all three games in the trilogy already, will get the Final Cut for free.
At the Sony Computer Entertainment Japan Asia Press Conference 2015 in Tokyo today, Capcom announced Umbrella Corps, a new fast-paced third-person shooter set in the Resident Evil universe. The competitive online game will feature quick, intense matches in compact battle zones themed from historic Resident Evil environments. The game utilizes the Unity engine developed by Unity Technologies. Umbrella Corps will be available digitally for $29.99 on PlayStation 4 and PC in early 2016.
During the PlayStation press conference at Tokyo Game Show, Square Enix showcased the latest trailer for World of Final Fantasy. The trailer follows the journey of siblings, Reynn and Lann, as they enter the world of Grymoire and encounter a multitude of familiar Final Fantasy characters and monsters.
World of Final Fantasy will be available in 2016 for the PlayStation 4 and PlayStation Vita.
Square Enix and Disney Interactive today revealed that development has begun on Kingdom Hearts HD 2.8 Final Chapter Prologue, a compilation that brings Kingdom Hearts [Dream Drop Distance] to the PlayStation 4 remastered in high definition.
