As part of today’s Sony Computer Entertainment event in Japan, Capcom showcased content from its Resident Evil survival horror franchise. The first trailer debuted for the definitive version of the Resident Evil, set for release on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, Xbox One, Xbox 360 and PC in early 2015.
Also at the event, Capcom unveiled Resident Evil Revelations 2. The title is planned for release in early 2015 on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, Xbox One, Xbox 360 and PC. More details for Resident Evil Revelations 2 will be available in the near future.
2K and Gearbox today announced their plans to support Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel with four add-on content packs following the release of the game on October 14th. The four add-on content packs will encompass new characters, missions, and experiences, and each pack will retail for $9.99.
Also announced today, was the Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel Season Pass, which will bundle all four add-on content packs – a $39.96 value – for $29.99. The Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel Season Pass grants access to download all four of the planned add-on content packs, as they become available on PlayStation Network, Xbox Live and PC. As Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel nears completion and the teams shift their focus to add-on content, additional details will be announced as development progresses.
Additionally, gamers who pre-order Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel from participating retailers will receive the Shock Drop Slaughter Pit bonus content. The Shock Drop Slaughter Pit will not be included in the Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel Season Pass, but it will be available for purchase at a later date.
2K and Firaxis Games have released a new gameplay video for Civilization: Beyond Earth. In this new “Master Control” video, learn all about the Purity Affinity, Virtues, the Orbital Layer as well as combat strategies against aliens and rival factions.

2K and Turtle Rock Studios announced that they will host a second, bigger closed alpha test for the 4v1 shooter Evolve. 2K and Turtle Rock Studios will be sharing many more details soon.
Undead Labs announced that State of Decay: Year-One Edition, the definitive version of State of Decay, is coming to Xbox One in Spring 2015.
State of Decay: Year-One Survival Edition will include the original State of Decay, now running in 1080p, previously released Add-on packs Breakdown and Lifeline, as well as some entirely new content. Undead Labs will reveal more on the new content closer to release.
PopCap Games announced that Peggle 2 is coming to the PlayStation 4 on October 14th.
Double Fine announced that Gang Beasts, the most recent addtion to Double Fine Presents, is now available on Steam Early Access.
Deep Silver and Volition announced Saints Row IV: Gat Out of Hell, a standalone expansion. In Gat Out of Hell, players take on the role of Johnny Gat as he is sent into hell via a nefarious spirit board incident and left to combat demons, the horrors of the underworld (including prominent historical figures) and, of course, the Devil himself.
Saints Row IV: Gat Out of Hell will launch on January 27th for last gen and new gen console platforms as well as PC.
Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment and Monolith Productions have released the Shadow of Mordor Story Trailer – Meet Ratbag.
While Uruks are dynamically generated through the Nemesis System and unique to each player, Ratbag is a special Uruk who plays a critical role in the story as Talion goes on his journey to destroy Sauron’s army.
Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor will launch on September 30th for Xbox One, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3, and on October 2nd for PC.
EA Sports has released Bergeron’s Feelings, the NHL 15 television spot featuring cover athlete, Patrice Bergeron. The Boston Bruins’ Centre takes the spotlight and waxes poetically with an ode to NHL 15.
