2K and Turtle Rock Studios have released a new trailer to remind fans that the Evolve Big Alpha is starting on October 30th exclusively on Xbox One, and PC/PS4 starting October 31st. Your last chance to grab guaranteed access to the Big Alpha on the platform of your choice is next Tuesday, October 21st. You can do this by pre-ordering Evolve from participating retailers.
In addition to guaranteed access to the Big Alpha, fans who pre-order Evolve will also receive the Monster Expansion Pack for free. The Monster Expansion Pack includes the Savage Goliath skin, as well as the yet-to-be announced fourth playable monster for free. The NPD Group has released its report for the month of September. While software sales were down 35% year-over-year in September, hardware sales were up 136%. Overall, total industry sales increased 2% to $1.1 billion. Once again PlayStation 4 was the best selling platform, nearly tripling the units sold in August, followed by Xbox One. Wii U hardware sales were up 50% over August.

Sony Computer Entertainment America today announced that September marked the biggest month ever for PlayStation Store revenue in the Americas, led by the launch of Destiny. Destiny broke PlayStation Network sales records across several categories, taking the top spot for pre-orders, day one sales, and week one sales. One month after the game’s launch, engagement among PlayStation fans continues to soar, as Destiny is the most-played title on the PlayStation 4 with 125 million hours of gameplay. According to Activision internal estimates, the PS4 is the #1 platform worldwide for Destiny based on units sold through as of October 4th.

Sega today announced a pre-order incentive for Company of Heroes 2: Ardennes Assault consisting of an all-new Company known as “Fox” Company. This band of Rangers is led by Captain Monte Durante and sits alongside the three Companies already included in the game; Airborne, Support and Mechanized. Players can choose up to three Companies on a campaign play-through; each with its own unique play style, specializations, abilities and Officer.
Captain Durante will have his own backstory for players to discover throughout the campaign, which will allow players to experience Company of Heroes 2: Ardennes Assault from a whole new perspective. The “Fox” Company DLC will feature unique mission and company reports, thus representing a significant amount of additional gameplay options and outcomes, all free for those who pre-order.
