Perfect World Entertainment today announced Remnant: From the Ashes, a survival-action shooter in development by Gunfire Games, the studio behind Darksiders 3. The game transports players to a bleak future where Earth has been overrun by extradimensional beings. Humanity’s last hope for survival is to flee to alternate dimensions for safety, and to uncover what these mysterious beings are after. Remnant: From the Ashes is scheduled to release in 2019 on PC, Xbox One and PlayStation 4.
inXile Entertainment today announced The Bard’s Tale IV: Barrows Deep, the new entry in the series that helped define computer RPGs and dungeon crawlers, will launch on September 18th on PC. It is expected to arrive later this year on the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.

Kalypso Media today announced that it has secured all rights to the gaming IP, Commandos. With this latest acquisition, the entire Commandos brand is completely owned by Kalypso Media, which not only covers future releases but also all distribution rights to the entire series thus far, including Commandos: Behind Enemy Lines, Commandos 2: Men of Courage, Commandos 3: Destination Berlin and Commandos: Strike Force, as well as Pyro Studios’ other titles, such as Imperial Glory and Praetorians.
Epic Games today announced the launch of Fortnite’s Season 5. Players can drop in now and find all kinds of changes to the Battle Royale map. A Viking ship, ancient statues have appeared on the island, and Moisty Mire has been hit with a drought, bringing with it a brand new desert outpost.
Fortnite’s first four-person vehicle has also arrived. Players can hop in a zippy All Terrain Kart (ATK) with their squad and uncover all-new mysteries and locations. A new season also means a new Battle Pass. Packed with more than 100 rewards, including all new toys and cosmetics, players can pick up the Battle Pass for 950 V-bucks to start earning rewards.

XSEED Games today launched Touhou: Scarlet Curiosity, the action-RPG take on the danmaku series developed by indie studio Ankake Spa, for PC on Steam. The title is now available for $14.99, with a 10% discount off the regular price throughout its launch week. The Steam release adds support for a variety of resolutions up to native 4K and includes the new ‘Bullet Hell’ difficulty, created exclusively for this release to offer a more challenging experience that lives up to the series’ reputation.
Publisher The Arcade Crew and developer Hibernian Workshop revealed the story trailer for Dark Devotion, coming to PC and consoles. The animated 2D trailer tells of an unforgiving world of divinity and sacrifice where only the most gifted souls (or most tenacious) will discover the entire truth of the mysterious and deadly Temple.
Capcom and Pure Imagination Studios are in production on a computer graphics animated special that will expand upon the universe of Monster Hunter, Capcom’s game series. Production will be completed this Winter and the special is expected to premiere in 2019.
The 3D animated special, dubbed “Monster Hunter: Legends of the Guild,” tells the story of a brave young man determined to prove himself as a monster hunter worthy of recognition. His chance will come all too soon when he discovers that his remote village lies in the path of an Elder Dragon—a veritable force of nature made flesh.
