Transformers: Devastation DLC Bundle Released

Activision has released a new DLC pack for Transformers: Devastation, containing three character skins – Nemesis Prime, Red Alert and Goldfire – as well as three weapons:

• The Dark Star Saber, a fearsome blade which radiates waves of dark energy with every swing.
• The Photon Disruptor cannon, dealing massive damage at short range.
• The twin Golden Hunter blaster pistols, which cause enemies to drop credits when attacked.

The “Transformers: Devastation DLC Bundle” is now available for $4.99 through the PlayStation Store, Xbox Games Store and Steam.

Stranger of Sword City Coming to North America

NIS America today announced that Stranger of Sword City is making its way to North America on March 22nd for the PlayStation Vita. It will be available as a physical copy, as well as a digital release. From the same creator’s of Demon Gaze, Stranger of Sword City takes on a more Westernized approach of dungeon crawler games, but still maintain the classic elements of a dRPG.

Your flight crashes after passing through a mysterious portal. As the sole survivor, you awaken to an unfamiliar land lit by stars you’ve never seen. This land is Escario, the city of swords. Quickly marked as the Chosen One, the Stranger of Sword City, you must defend this place, and choose your allegiances carefully as you scour the land for a way home.

Langrisser Re:Incarnation -TENSEI- Announced

Aksys Games, extreme and Masaya Games today announced Langrisser Re:Incarnation -TENSEI-, a strategic simulation RPG for the Nintendo 3DS releasing Spring 2016. Rise of the Tomb Raider Launches

Microsoft Studios and Crystal Dynamics today launched Rise of the Tomb Raider. Exclusive to Xbox in holiday 2015, the latest installment in the franchise takes Lara Croft on a journey that sees her become more than a survivor and embark on her first tomb raiding expedition.

As an additional incentive, anyone who plays the game from November 10th thru November 30th will receive the coveted golden Rattlesnake Revolver Skin.

Steam Hardware Available Now

Valve today announced the official launch of its line of Steam Hardware devices. The Steam Controller, Steam Link, and Steam Machines are a collection of hardware devices designed to expand the Steam gaming experience into any room in the home.

Steam Controller — An input device that allows you to play games from all genres, including traditional gamepad style games as well as games usually reserved for play with a mouse and keyboard. Steam Controllers are wireless, completely configurable, and available for a SRP of $59.99 CAD.

Steam Link — The Steam Link allows Steam gamers to expand the range of their current gaming set up via their home network. Connecting any TV to your Steam host PC or Steam Machine, the Steam Link allows you to stream your games anywhere via your home network, and is available for a SRP of $59.99 CAD.

Steam Machines — Available from Alienware, Zotac, Cyberpower, and other manufacturers, Steam Machines can serve as a stand-alone device for enjoying the Steam gaming experience in one box, with more than 1,500 titles available for native play. In addition, Steam Machines have the ability to broadcast and receive In Home Streaming, allowing you to stream your games to a Steam Link, or receive a stream from another Steam Machine or PC. Steam Machines will vary in price, offering a range of hard drive sizes, graphics performance, and more starting at $449.99.

Final Fantasy XIV Patch 3.1 Available Today

Following the release of Final Fantasy XIV: Heavensward, Square Enix today launches Patch 3.1, As Goes Light, So Goes Darkness. This update continues the main story, following the nation of Ishgard in the wake of the Warrior of Light’s return from Azys Lla. It also offers new gameplay content, including:

• Void Ark: The new 24-player alliance raid invites adventures to do battle on a haunted vessel while unraveling the mystery surrounding it
• Exploratory Missions: Embark on missions that task adventurers to explore far-off islands by way of airship and battle monsters in an open field, allowing them to unearth rare gear and items
• Lord of Verminion: A brand-new real-time strategy attraction at the Manderville Gold Saucer where players can use their minions to battle it out against other players, or take on challenges against boss minions
• Two high-level dungeons: Saint Mocianne’s Arboretum and Pharos Sirius (Hard)
• Vanu Vanu beast tribe quests offer insight into the lives of the Zundu tribe and feature a new “quest sync” system to offer rewards and challenges equivalent to the player level at which they are accepted
• The Minstrel’s Ballad: Thordan’s Reign: Face off against Thordan and his twelve knights once more in this enhanced-difficulty version of the battle, offering players a greater challenge
• The ability to fly will be granted to a number of existing ground mounts, including Magitek armor
• New hairstyles, and much more.

Additionally, in celebration of the final chapter to the Rhapsodies of Vana’diel storyline in Final Fantasy XI, which also released today, Iroha, the star of the recent Rhapsodies of Vana’diel storyline, will be visiting Final Fantasy XIV in a special collaboration event from November 11th through December 31st. Adventurers will be able to participate in event quests to obtain exclusive in-game items, including Iroha’s outfit.

Vana’diel’s Fate Revealed in Last Update for Final Fantasy XI

Commemorating 14 years of continuous service, Square Enix today released the final large-scale version update for Final Fantasy XI. The last chapter of the Rhapsodies of Vana’diel storyline shifts the stage to the new area of Reisenjima, where players will battle for the future of Vana’diel. As part of this occasion, all previous Final Fantasy XI players with inactive service accounts as of October 23rd can play the final chapter for free, starting November 13th, running through November 24th.

Rocket League Mutates Today

Indie developer and publisher, Psyonix, announced today that it has released an all-new, free “Mutators” update for Rocket League – a suite of alternative presets and settings that add variety to custom games.

With the introduction of “Mutators,” Rocket League players can now play a variety of new game-alts, including the low-gravity “Moonball” or the classic Supersonic Acrobatic Rocket-Powered Battle-Cars game modes,”Cubic” and “Time Warp,” to name just a few. A special playlist, entitled “Mutator Mashup,” will also launch in November and these combine several preset modes into a single, randomized list of online games.

A Mutator mode based on the sport of Hockey will be available in December.

Kromaia Omega Out Now on PS4

Rising Star Games and Kraken Empire today announced that the shoot’em up Kromaia Omega is now available for purchase on the PlayStation 4 via the PlayStation Store, with a physical boxed edition coming November 13th.

Xbox Announces First 104 Xbox One Backwards Compatible Titles

Mike Ybarra, director of program management for Xbox, today unveiled the first 104 Xbox One Backward Compatibility games launching on November 12th, including the Gears of War collection, Assassin’s Creed II, Fallout 3 and Borderlands. You can expect new Xbox One Backward Compatible games to be announced on a regular basis, starting in December. More titles are on the way, including Halo Reach, Halo Wars, Call of Duty: Black Ops, Bioshock, Bioshock 2, and Bioshock Infinite. The full list of initial titles is below:
