Psyonic announced today that its sports-action game Rocket League is serving up its own brand of Christmas cheer with new items ans additions.
Starting December 14th, the previously-announced hockey-inspired Mutator Mode, renamed “Snow Day,” will officially join the “Mutator Mashup” online playlist. Boasting an iced-over field and a heavy, disc-shaped hockey puck, “Snow Day” brings a new twist to Rocket League’s soccer-style gameplay.
In addition to the “Snow Day” Mutator, the update also brings seven new holiday-themed Garage items, including an “Xmas” Rocket Trail, “Christmas Tree” Topper, “Candy Cane” Antenna, and several more. Though the chances of getting “Winter Games” items are lower than that of a standard drop, players have a chance to find one following the completion of any match, win or lose, and will permanently keep the item once found. Fail to collect all holiday items before January 4th, however, and you’ll have to wait until next year to find them again.
Both the Snow Day update and the Winter Games items are absolutely FREE on PlayStation®4 and Steam PC.
For players interested in a darker, post-apocalyptic Rocket League, the game’s newest DLC add-on, “Chaos Run” will be available on both PlayStation Network and Steam for $3.99 starting December 1st.

To give fans a head’s up, Techland has released this fan letter to explain a planned price increase on Dying Light: The Following and the Dying Light Season Pass:
—————————————-
Dear fans,
Over the past weeks Dying Light: The Following has almost reached its final stage: main quests, side quests, new skills, and driving challenges are ready. We now are moving into the polishing period. Looking at it, it’s clear how big the expansion pack has grown – it could be a stand-alone title, but since it would mean a launch delay, we decided against it.
Due to the increased scale of the project, we needed to revise the pricing that we announced back in August, and so we want to let you know that Dying Light: The Following will be priced at $19.99.
As promised back in August, our expansion will still be free for all Dying Light Season Pass holders. However since the Season Pass will now include this bigger-than-anticipated addition, we needed to adjust the price accordingly.
Starting December 8th, the Season Pass will be sold at $29.99. We didn’t want this to come as a surprise to you, so we’re announcing it in advance. This price change will not affect players who already own the Season Pass.
So if you’re looking forward to Dying Light: The Following, you still have time to get the whole Season Pass package, including the expansion at only $19.99. Just remember to do it before December 8th.
We’ve got some cool reveals about what’s in Dying Light: The Following and we’ll be sharing them with you really soon, so stay tuned!
Regards,
Dying Light Team
