Square Enix today announced that Dragon Quest Heroes: The World Tree’s Woe and the Blight Below is now available on Steam. In addition to high-end PC graphical support, full control pad support and localization options available for seven different languages, Dragon Quest Heroes on Steam will also include 13 DLC items, giving players access to the first ever action-based Dragon Quest title on PC.
Electronic Arts today announced UFC featherweight champion Jose Aldo and UFC interim featherweight champion Conor McGregor will Fight for the Cover to join EA Sports UFC 2 cover athlete, “Rowdy” Ronda Rousey. For the first time in EA Sports history, the winner of a real-world sporting event will get the opportunity to be included on a game’s cover. The cover will be revealed immediately after the undisputed world featherweight championship at UFC 194: Also vs. McGregor on Saturday, December 12th at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Nintendo announced that Xenoblade Chronicles X will be available exclusively for the Wii U tomorrow, December 4th. The open-world RPG finds players exploring the planet Mira on a mission to rebuild humanity.
To fully enjoy the physical version of the game, players can download four free and optional High Speed Data Packs in the Nintendo eShop to help with the game’s performance. The Basic Data Pack is the most effective of the four and speeds up load times. The Enemy Data Pack loads enemy data even faster, the Player Data Pack accelerates armor load times when changing equipment in shops, and the Skell Data Pack loads Skells faster when players are out in the field. An external USB hard drive may be required to download these packs from the Nintendo eShop. The digital version of the game in the Nintendo eShop will come with the Data Packs built-in.
Creative Assembly has released the first in a series of videos showcasing how each playable race will offer very different styles of gameplay in Total War: Warhammer. In this first video, follow campaign gameplay from the perspective of the Greenskins. The video also shows the scope and span of the entire campaign map, from the twisted Chaos wastes in the north to the desolate Southern Badlands of the Orcs and Goblins.

Koei Tecmo today announced a playable demo for the PlayStation 4 version of the upcoming anime-based tactical action title, Arslan: The Warriors of Legend, will be available to download via PlayStation Network on January 12th and will include a mission from the first stage of the game, taking players through a short tutorial session using two key characters: Arslan, the Prince of Pars, and his protector Daryun. In addition, the demo will showcase a set of new moves and powers developed for Arslan: The Warriors of Legend, such as the Mardan Rush & Weapon Arts special attacks.
Koeoi Tecmo has also announced a new Free Mode feature that will delight fans of the anime. As anyone who has watched The Heroic Legend of Arslan will know, Narsus’s page Elam is a culinary genius, and his cooking often delights his co-travelers during their quest. This gastronomic side of Elam’s has now been incorporated into the battle preparations. During the course of the game, players can locate and collect recipe books hidden throughout the story mode. These can be used in Free Mode prior to battle to give the controlled character an ability boost. The various foods, such as Lamb Skewers, Stewed Chicken, and Potluck Soup can provide different effects such as increased health, attack boosts, healing, bonus gold, bonus experience, and more.
Arslan: The Warriors of Legend is slated for release on the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on February 9th. It will also be simultaneously available digitally on the PlayStation 3.
Atlus and ACE Team have released a new trailer introducing the heroes of The Deadly Tower of Monsters – Dick Starspeed, Scarlet Nova, and Robot. The Deadly Tower of Monsters will launch on PlayStation 4 and PC on January 19th.
