Guitar Hero Live Adds New Tracks from The Dead Weather

The Dead Weather has teamed up with Activision to deliver three live tracks to GHTV, including:

  • Be Still (Live)
  • I Feel Love (Every Million Miles) (Live)
  • Let It Through (Live)

To prepare for the celebration of the new year, Activision is also adding six additional tracks via two Premium Shows: Party Party Party! and Nothing But Classics. The new tracks that are also now available are:

  • Twin Atlantic – Fall Into the Party
  • Steel Panther – Party Like Tomorrow Is The End of the World

PlayStation Plus Free Games for January

Sony Computer Entertainment has revealed the lineup of free games for PlayStation Plus members in January, including Hardware: Rivals (PS4), Grim Fandango Remastered (PS4), Dragon Age: Origins (PS3), Medal of Honor: Warfighter (PS3), Nihilumbra (Vita), and Legends of War: Patton (Vita).

Sword Art Online: Hollow Realization Announced

Bandai Namco today announced that Sword Art Online: Hollow Realization, the fourth installment in the game series, is coming to the Americas in 2016 for the PlayStation 4 and PlayStation Vita. Taking the role of Kirito, players enter a new VRMMORPG world called “Sword Art: Origin”, which was created on the game’s original servers, setting the stage for new quests through a dangerous virtual world.

The Legend of Heroes: Trails of Cold Steel Now Available

XSEED Games today announced that the new standalone entry in Nihon Falcom’s Trails series of role-playing games, The Legend of Heroes: Trails of Cold Steel, is now available for the PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Vita.

Alongside the standard edition, the limited “Lionheart Edition” is also available, containing an art book comprised of 140 pages of art from both this game and its upcoming 2016 sequel, The Legend of Heroes: Trails of Cold Steel II, plus a 1.5” emblem pin representing the Erebonian Empire, all packaged in a custom collectible box designed to house both titles.

Shred with Avenged Sevenfold in Guitar Hero Live

Activision and FreeStyleGames today announced that band Avenged Sevenfold is taking over GHTV for a one-hour show, taking gamers through some of their rock songs playable in Guitar Hero Live. Premiering today and airing multiple times throughout the week, the show is dubbed “A7X Rock Classics” and features exclusive footage of the band talking about and introducing some of their all-time favorite songs.

The show features songs from artists including Pantera, Megadeth, AFI, Bob Dylan, Boston, Queensryche, Tenacious D, Faith No More, Deftones, Weezer and more, and will broadcast on GHTV channel 1 at the following times:

  • Tuesday, Dec. 22nd at 5:30pm Pacific (World Premiere)
  • Wednesday, Dec. 23rd at 1:30am, 9:30am and 6:00pm PST
  • Thursday, Dec. 24th at 2:00am, 10:00am and 8:30pm PST
  • Friday, Dec. 25th at 4:30am, 12:30pm, 5:30pm and 9:30pm PST
  • Saturday, Dec. 26th at 5:30am, 9:30am, 7:30pm and 11:00pm PST

Additionally, Avenged Sevenfold’s premium show, featuring playable concert footage recorded at the band’s recent headlining performance at England’s venerable Download Festival, is being added back into GHTV tomorrow. The show includes live, playable version of their songs, “Shepherd of Fire,” “Buried Alive” and “Nightmare.” Activision will also be giving away guitars signed by the band and Avenged Sevenfold albums and merchandise on the Guitar Hero social media channels.
