Activision Blizzard today announced that producer Stacey Sher has been named co-president of Activision Blizzard Studios, which is devoted to creating television and films based on the company’s library of intellectual properties, including Activision’s Call of Duty and Skylanders, and Blizzard Entertainment’s Diablo and StarCraft. Sher, who has produced more than two dozen major motion pictures, including Quentin Tarantino’s most recent film, The Hateful Eight, as well as nearly a dozen TV series and TV movies will partner with former Disney executive Nick van Dyk to co-lead Hollywood’s newest studio.
Atlus has released a new trailer for The Deadly Tower of Monsters showing what highly trained space explorers could do while facing off against the meanest of Gravoria’s monsters. Electronic Arts today announced a new membership service for PC gamers on Origin called Origin Access, bringing players endless gaming with a growing collection of PC games for $4.99 a month.
This new service launches with 15 games, including Battlefield 4, Dragon Age: Inquisition, The Sims 3, and This War of Mine with more titles from EA and independent developers added over time.

Deep Silver revealed today that the open-world first-person shooter, Homefront: The Revolution, will occupy retail stores on May 17th. In the ‘This is Philadelphia’ trailer released today, citizens get their first glimpse into the world of Occupied Philadelphia in the year 2029: The birthplace of American freedom has been split into three occupied zones, each zone varying in the level of KPA police activity with each unique zone forcing players to adapt new gameplay strategies in order to further the progress of The Revolution. The ‘This is Philadelphia’ trailer showcases the unforgiving Yellow Zone. Techland today expanded Steam Workshop’s Dying Light Dev Tools with the cooperation and player-vs-player functionalities. This free update opens up new creative options for players, who can now design cooperation-based scenarios and deathmatch maps.
The update launches alongside PvP-focused custom map ‘Don’t Drown’ created by RabidSquirrel, an active member of the Dying Light community. The map is set in an island and features an ever-rising water level to keep the combatants motivated. ‘Don’t Drown’ has players explore the island and avoid zombies in search of powerful weapons which they can then use to take on one another.

Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment today revealed a closer look at the brand-new characters and content coming to Mortal Kombat X in Kombat Pack 2, the game’s next wave of DLC. The Mortal Kombat X Kombat Pack 2 gameplay trailer showcases the Kombatants being introduced to the game’s playable roster in 2016 including the Xenomorph from Alien, Leatherface, Triborg and Bo’ Rai Cho.
