Elite Dangerous Sells 1.4 Million Units to Date

Frontier Developments today announced it has sold 1.4 million units of Elite Dangerous across PC and Xbox One. Elite Dangerous launched for PC in December 2014 following a successful crowdfunding campaign. The Xbox One release followed in October of 2015.

Bohemia Interactive Presents 2016 Plans for Arma 3

Bohemia Interactive today revealed some of their plans for Arma 3 in 2016. Via a new video blog, Creative Director Jay Crowe provides an overview of the ten most significant highlights of 2015, and a list of the ten most important things to look forward to in the upcoming year, including the release of the Arma 3 Apex expansion, which will bring players to the 100 km² South Pacific island archipelago of Tanoa. The Apex expansion will be supported by new vehicles and weapons, a co-op campaign, and a free platform update that will improve Arma 3’s graphics, audio, usability, and more.

Samurai Warriors 4 Empires Pre-Order Bonus Content and Characters

Koei Tecmo today announced new information regarding the bonus content available to those who pre-order Samurai Warriors 4 Empires ahead of its scheduled release on March 15th. Samurai Warriors 4 Empires will be available for the PlayStation 4, as well as digitally for the PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Vita.

Fans who pre-order from Amazon, Best Buy, EB Canada and GameStop will receive a ‘Bonus Item Set’ consisting of an additional castle option, the ‘Golden Castle,’ the ‘Osaka Campaign’ scenario, and an additional costume for in-game character Takakage Kobayakawa. In addition, fans will receive an exclusive costume for one of the most popular female characters of the Samurai Warriors series, Lady Hayakawa.

Additionally, Koei Tecmo released two gameplay videos detailing some of the options available in battle preparation and while on the battlefield in Samurai Warriors 4 Empires.

Tropico 5 – Complete Collection Coming January 29th

Kalypso Media is preparing a premiere package of the strategy game Tropico 5 on PC. Packing in both full expansions ‘Espionage’ and ‘Waterborne’ along with all 10 DLC add-ons released to date, Tropico 5 – Complete Collection will launch via Steam on January 29th, and the boxed retail version will launch on February 2nd for $39.99.

Capcom Vancouver to Use Unreal Engine 4 for Upcoming Projects

Capcom today confirmed that Capcom Game Studio Vancouver, the development studio behind the Dead Rising franchise, will begin working with Epic Games to utilize Unreal Engine 4 for its upcoming projects. More details on these as yet unannounced future games will be available at a later date.

Unravel – How to Make Yarny

In a new video released today, Sahlin provides instructions on how to make Yarny with wire, yarn, and paperclips, just like he did on his camping trip in the forest of Northern Scandinavia.

Rebel Galaxy Now Live on Xbox One

Indie developer Double Damage Games today announced that Rebel Galaxy is now available on Xbox One. Previously launched on PC in October and PlayStation 4 on January 5th, now Xbox One players can get their hands on the space action RPG. Players can upgrade weapons and defenses, acquire new ships, negotiate with aliens, and battle pirates in this open space sandbox.

Civil War and Ant-Man DLC Packs Coming Free to LEGO Marvel’s Avengers on PlayStation

Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment today announced that LEGO Marvel’s Avengers will offer upcoming DLC packs based on the Marvel Studios films Captain America: Civil War and Ant-Man, available as a free download exclusively for PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 3 players for a limited time. Each pack will include the following content:

Captain America: Civil War Character Pack: Heroes once united now find themselves divided. This pack features nine playable characters starring in the theatrical release and will be available at launch.
