Barnstorm Games today announced that Pro Pinball Ultra, based on the classic Pro Pinball series from the nineties, is now available on Steam Early Access. A successful Kickstarter campaign confirmed the support to bring the series back, and the first table, Timeshock!, can now be downloaded from Steam Early Access on PC. The original development team used the plans of the original and completely recreated the experience for today’s PC owners, with the addition of some new features. The table includes support for 4K displays, access to the Operator’s Menu to customize the table, and Glass-Off-Mode which allows players to remove the virtual glass and move the ball around. Pro Pinball Ultra is available to purchase from Steam Early Access for $14.99.
Team17 today announced it spartnership with 16-year-old Melbourne based student and indie developer Anthony Tan of Studio Happy Bee to publish Way of the Woods, a third-person adventure game where you play a deer and her fawn, exploring a strange world filled with surreal imagery. Way to the Woods draws inspirations from Studio Ghibli and features a soundtrack by London based musician and composer Jeremy Warmsley.
Bandai Namco has released new screenshots for Dark Souls III, the latest installment of the Dark Souls series from Japanese developer FromSoftware.
The new screenshots reveal key locations and characters both new and familiar to fans of the series. As they begin the game, players will find themselves revived in the Untended Graves as an “Unkindled” and will have to face the mighty Iudex Gundyr as a test to prove their worth before heading into Firelink Shrine. In the shrine they will find a Fire Keeper tending to a bonfire who will serve players on their long and arduous journey. Players will find other characters inhabiting the shrine including Hawkwood, an Unkindled and fugitive from Farron’s Undead Legion, along with a peculiar looking man sitting on one of the thrones in the shrine calling himself Ludleth of Courland and a Lord of Cinder. From Firelink Shrine players will begin a dark and brooding fantasy adventure across the vast and twisted world of DARK SOULS III.
Dark Souls III will be available on April 12th for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC via Steam.
Insomniac Games today announced Song of the Deep, a metroidvania-style action-adventure game following a young girl’s quest into the unknown to find her missing father. Combining discovery, skill, and suspense, this underwater journey will challenge players to explore, experiment, and navigate a vast ocean landscape. Song of the Deep launches on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC this summer.
GameMill Entertainment has revealed that Organic Panic, indie developer Last Limb’s side-scrolling, physics-based puzzle-platformer, is coming soon to the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. The single-player and cooperative and competitive multiplayer game is expected to arrive as a digital release on the PlayStation Store and Xbox Games Store in March.
In addition, Organic Panic is expected to officially launch on PC this spring, following the end of its closed beta through Steam Early Access.

Bandai Namco today announced that Ninja Williams has been officially added to the fight card in Tekken 7: Fated Retribution. The company also announced that Tekken 7: Fated Retribution will officially be part of EVO 2016, which will take place July 15th through the 17th in Las Vegas, NV.
Stardock today announced that the first expansion to its 4X space strategy game Galactic Civilizations III is in development and will launch on February 18th for $19.99. Galactic Civilizations III: Mercenaries will add an all-new campaign, Galactic Bazaars, new races, and the ability to recruit elite units with special abilities and more.
In Mercenaries, players will be able to visit new Intergalactic Bazaars, where they can hire mercenaries to assist in expanding across the galaxy. With over 70 unique mercenary ships and multiple Bazaars to discover on each map, Galactic Civilizations III: Mercenaries offers hours of gameplay.
Galactic Civilizations III: Mercenaries also includes two new factions: the Arceans and the Torians. The Arceans are an ancient and honorable civilization of warriors and the Torians are an aquatic species seeking to escape the slavery of the Drengin. Both races come with new traits, abilities, and tech trees. The Torians are also the subject of a new campaign available within the expansion.
Microsoft today revealed the Xbox Games with Gold offering for February. On Xbox One, Xbox Live Gold members can download Hand of Fate throughout February. Styx: Master of Shadows is also being offered starting February 16th through March 15th. On Xbox 360 and Xbox One with Backward Compatibility, starting February 1st, Sacred Citadel will be free for Xbox Live Gold members through February 15th. Then on February 16th, Xbox Live Gold members can download Gears of War 2 for free through February 29th.
