Out of the Park Baseball 17 Adds MLBPA License, Releases March 22nd

Out of the Park Developments today announced that Out of the Park Baseball 17 will be officially licensed by the Major League Baseball Players Association (MLBPA) and released on March 22nd. The MLBPA license allows OOTP 17 to introduce realistic FaceGen images of all active MLB players, adding another layer of immersion on top of the game’s official MLB and MiLB league and team logos.

Through March 1st, customers may pre-order OOTP 17 for $34.99, a savings of $5.00, and get access to the Gold Master beta version on March 18th, four days ahead of the official launch on March 22nd. Each pre-order customer will also receive a free OOTP 17 Steam key after official release, on top of the pre-ordered eSellerate license.

After the pre-order savings expires on March 2nd, customers may still pre-order OOTP 17 at the regular price of $39.99 and receive access to the beta on March 18th, along with a free OOTP 17 Steam key after official release.

Hitman PC Beta Weekend Starts Friday

Io-Interactive invites players to join Agent 47 on his very first assignment for the International Contract Agency this weekend on PC. The beta is scheduled to start at 11:00am EST on February 19th and ends on February 22nd at the same time.

Labeled “The Prologue”, the Beta takes place twenty years before the Paris Showstopper mission. Set in a secret ICA training facility, the Prologue features a pivotal moment in Agent 47’s life – his introduction to the ICA and very first meeting with his future handler Diana Burnwood. The Prologue features two free-form training hits, which will introduce players to the features and mechanics of the upcoming Hitman game. The Prologue will also be available as part of the first episode of Hitman releasing March 11th.

The only way to guarantee your access to the Hitman Beta this weekend is to pre-order the game digitally on PC via Steam. Access to the Hitman Beta is available for the pre-orders of the Full Experience and Intro Pack.

Call of Duty: Black Ops III Awakening Coming to Xbox One and PC March 3rd

Activision and Treyarch announced that Awakening, the first DLC map pack for Call of Duty: Black Ops III, is coming to Xbox One and PC on March 3rd. Awakening delivers four new multiplayer maps in addition to an all-new Zombies experience.

BioWare Announces Disavowed, Coming March 10th

BioWare and Lucasfilm today announced the release date of the next chapter in the episodic expansion story, Star Wars: The Old Republic – Knights of the Fallen Empire. Disavowed follows the Outlander’s story beyond Anarchy in Paradise and re-introduces a familiar face, Major Jorgan, the commander of the elite soldiers of Havoc Squad. Starting March 10th, Jorgan joins the Alliance and battles alongside the Outlander in a mission deep behind enemy lines. It’s up to the Outlander to determine how far Jorgan and his soldiers are allowed to go in the war against the Eternal Empire.

Subscribers of Star Wars: The Old Republic can join and play at the center of their own Knights of the Fallen Empire story for free during their subscription period. Players who subscribe by March 1st will receive 2-Day Early Access to Disavowed and the HK-55-inspired in-game Helmet which gives players a likeness to the Assassin Droid.

Tales from the Borderlands Coming to Retail

Gearbox Software, Telltale Games and 2K today announced that they will be bringing Tales from the Borderlands to disc format starting April 26th. The Tales from the Borderlands disc will include all five episodes and will be playable on PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360, Xbox One and PC.

Try Plants vs. Zombies Garden Warfare 2 Today on EA Access and Origin Access

Plants vs. Zombies Garden Warfare 2 launches February 23rd, but for up to ten hours, EA Access and Origin Access members can play the full game starting now before it’s released.

If you continue the battle once Plants vs. Zombies Garden Warfare 2 launches, all of the progress you make carries over, including Player Loyalty Rewards. Players will also be able to access their unlocked character variants from the original Plants vs. Zombies Garden Warfare. In addition to being able to play EA games before they are released, EA Access and Origin Access members also receive 10% off when they purchase the digital copy of Plants vs. Zombies Garden Warfare 2 on Xbox Live Marketplace and Origin, respectively.

New Features Rolling Out to the Xbox App and Xbox One

Microsoft Studios today unveiled the first Xbox One and Xbox app system update of the year. Starting today, updates to the Xbox app will be available worldwide and updates for Xbox One will start to rollout globally tomorrow.

Feature highlights for Xbox One include the ability to see who’s in a Party and the restored Gamerscore Leaderboard. Xbox app feature highlights include a Compact Mode that enables users to quickly switch between their friends view, party, messages and activity alerts.

Paragon – “Rush the Core” Gameplay Video

Epic Games today revealed an all-new “Rush the Core” gameplay video for its upcoming MOBA, Paragon. The new video features Heroes Sparrow and Gideon rushing towards the enemy core, while Dekker gets help from Steel and Grux to defend.

Paragon is coming to PC and PlayStation 4 in 2016.

Techland Announces Another Full Year of Dying Light Support

In an open letter from the company to players, Techland CEO Paweł Marchewka announced their continued support for Dying Light at least till the end of this year, and that they are already working on new unannounced content.
