Microsoft today revealed the Xbox Games with Gold offering for May. On Xbox One, Xbox Live Gold members can download Defense Grid 2 throughout May. Costume Quest 2 is also being offered starting May 16th through June 15th. On Xbox 360 and Xbox One with Backward Compatibility, starting May 1st, Peggle will be free for Xbox Live Gold members through May 15th. Then on May 16th, Xbox Live Gold members can download GRID 2 for free through May 31st.
Deep Silver and Dambuster Studios today revealed the all-new backstory to Homefront: The Revolution by releasing the opening cinematic to the game, titled “America Has Fallen.”
Homefront: The Revolution is scheduled for release on May 17th on Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC.
Bandai Namco has released a new trailer for the upcoming Sound Four DLC pack for Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm 4. The new video highlights the Sound Four, an elite unit that served as bodyguards for Orochimaru. These playable Ninja will be available for digital download on May 10th for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Steam for PC for $6.99. Players who have purchased the Season Pass will be able to download The Sound Four DLC pack a week earlier on May 3rd.
Io-Interactive today announced the launch of Hitman Episode 2: Sapienza.
The mission, titled ‘World of Tomorrow’, enlists Agent 47 to target Silvio Caruso, a brilliant but troubled bioengineer employed by the Ether Biotech Corporation who is reportedly working on a DNA-Specific virus able to infect anyone anywhere in the world. 47 must eliminate Caruso and his lab head Francesca De Santis as well as destroy the yet unfinished virus prototype.
Located on the Amalfi Coast, Sapienza is a sun-drenched location full of new challenges and packed with opportunities for the creative assassin to explore. Players can wander through a maze of alleys filled with shops and apartments or explore dungeon like tunnels connecting various parts of the town. Pay respects at a mysterious cemetery, relax by the beach or visit the San Giorgio church tower for a fantastic view of the town.
Sapienza is free as part of the Full Experience Pack. For owners of the Intro Pack, they can choose either the Upgrade Pack for $50, which will then include all of this year’s content as it’s released, or choose to purchase the location individually for $10 (or local equivalent). The disc version of Hitman will ship in January 2017.
Rocket League fans can now download the basketball-inspired Hoops mode today for free. In addition, an officially-licensed “NBA Flag Pack,” containing the logos of all 30 NBA teams represented as in-game flags, is available for sale as premium DLC for $1.99.
The new Hoops mode update is free on Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC via Steam, and includes a NBA logo flag for all players. Rocket League Hoops comes with a free new arena called “Dunk House,” where the net itself can be used as a ramp for the ball, and Aerials and wall-play is the key to victory.
Koei Tecmo today announced the launch of the Alpha Demo for its dark, samurai action RPG, Nioh. Developed exclusively for release on the PlayStation 4, this limited-time demo is only available to play and download via the PlayStation Store from today until May 5th.
Between April 26th and May 5th, gamers have a chance to experience the dark setting and samurai combat of Nioh via access to two stages. Upon coming ashore a small island near the village of Usuki, in the first stage the player encounters the remains of a fishing village set aflame by a mysterious invasion. In the following stage, demonic beings from the Yokai realm run rampant in Dazaifu, which has controlled western regions since ancient times.
All players who complete a stage of the demo will be rewarded with ‘The Mark of the Conqueror’ DLC from the PlayStation Store, which will contain exclusive in-game content for Nioh at launch.
