Cineplex and WorldGaming today announced that registration will open tomorrow for the ‘Cineplex WorldGaming Canadian Tournament Presented by PlayStation’ featuring Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End. The five-person multiplayer tournament will begin with Online Qualifiers and will move through four rounds of competition, including Regional and Canadian Final events which will be hosted at Cineplex theatres across Canada.
With over $100,000 in total prizing available, the winning team will going home with $50,000 cash and $10,000 and $5,000 will be awarded to the second and third place teams respectively. Other prizing for gamers and the spectators cheering them on includes movie passes, games and PS4 systems.
The ‘Cineplex WorldGaming Canadian Tournament Presented by PlayStation’ featuring Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End will begin with Online Qualifiers from June 16 – July 10, moving to Regional Finals in 24 Cineplex theatres across Canada on July 24th. The top 24 teams from the Regional Finals will then compete online head-to-head for one of eight spots at the Canadian Finals event on August 28th in Toronto.
