At the ID@Xbox Twitch gaming showcase, Artisan Studios revealed the trailer for their newest project: hand-drawn JRPG Astria Ascending, coming to PC, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5|4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One and Game Pass in 2021.
An adventure with the charm and pedigree of a classic JRPG, Astria Ascending tells an expansive story of fate, sacrifice and new beginnings. The game was developed in partnership with publisher Dear Villagers and boasts contributions from world-class JRPG developers, with a score by Hitoshi Sakimoto (Final Fantasy XII, Vagrant Story), narrative by Kazushige Nojima (Final Fantasy X, Final Fantasy VII Remake) and art from CyDesignation (Akihiko Yoshida and Hideo Minaba).
Double Eleven announced today that its competitive multiplayer survival game, Rust, is now available for pre-order across several tiers ahead of the game’s release on May 21st. Double Eleven has partnered with lublishing partner Koch Media for a physical Rust Console Edition and a special Day One Edition which will be available at selected retailers for both Xbox One and PlayStation 4.

Drinkbox Studios (Guacamelee!, Severed) revealed their upcoming game today as part of of the first ever ID@Xbox Twitch Gaming Showcase: Nobody Saves the World, a new twist on action RPGs, coming to Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, the PC Windows Store and Steam later this year. The title will also be made available on launch day to Game Pass for PC and console subscribers.
As Nobody (yes, you play as a character named Nobody), you find a powerful magic wand which allows you to swap into different Forms to clear dungeons, solve puzzles, and complete quests. Nobody Saves the World also features an original soundtrack by Sword and Sworcery composer Jim Guthrie.
straka.studio, in collaboration with Superhot Presents and Slovak Arts Council, today unveiled their upcoming island-shifting action-roguelike Loot River, coming to Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One and PC. Set in a series of procedurally-generated labyrinths, Loot River is a dungeon-crawling action-roguelike that combines the real-time combat and dark fantasy stylings of Dark Souls with the spatial block-shifting puzzles of Tetris.
Capcom today announced the release of Monster Hunter Rise on Nintendo Switch. In addition to being available now on Nintendo Switch, the game will also be arriving on PC in early 2022. The latest installment in the action RPG franchise transports players to the colorful Kamura Village, as they prepare to defend themselves against a rapidly approaching calamity called the Rampage. Hunters can tackle these challenges solo, or with up to three other players in local or cooperative online play.
Kalypso Media and Realmforge Studios today announced that space station management sim Spacebase Startopia has completed its final landing checks and successfully touched down on PC, PlayStation 4|5, Xbox Series X|S, and Xbox One. The game will support Smart Delivery for Xbox Series X|S and Xbox One, and the Nintendo Switch version will follow later in the year.
To celebrate the launch, fans can now check out a series of strategy guides aimed at helping players familiarize themselves with their new donut-shaped home and get a leg-up with their duties as Commander. Episode 1 covers the base’s three unique decks, on which players can host their visitors and residents as well as construct an assortment of buildings and galactic gadgetry; Episode 2 introduces the ‘Fuzzies’ – cute, assistant robots who will muck-in with the less glamorous jobs around the station; Episode 3 focuses on ensuring the player’s communication skills (both verbal and telepathic) are up to snuff; and Episode 4 goes over food, berths and medical bays.
Activision today announced that Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1 and 2 is available now for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. The game will also slide onto the Nintendo Switch later in 2021.

Tencent Games today announced Undawn, a new open world co-op action game created by the development studio responsible for PUBG Mobile. Set in a dangerous and unforgiving world where players must fight for survival against the dual threats of zombies and other humans, Undawn will launch on PC later this year.
Combining both Player vs Player (PvP) and Player vs Environment (PvE) gameplay, Undawn is a fresh take on the open world survival experience. To survive in this environment, players will scavenge resources, craft better supplies and weapons, and battle with enemies both undead and very much alive. To thrive, players must band together with others to build unique shelters, trade resources, and stake out a homestead to protect themselves from the rampaging undead.
