The survival horror platformer Deadlight: Director’s Cut is available today for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC digitally for $19.99. With the brand-new Survival Arena Mode which offers interactive defenses and novel weapons, players can expect an intense struggle against the horde. In addition, the PS4 and Xbox One versions now encompass the Nightmare Mode, revealing an alternative ending upon completion of the game.
Umbrella Corps arrives today for digital download on PlayStation 4 and PC for $29.99. The competitive online game will feature quick matches in compact battle zones themed from Resident Evil environments. These maps are based on familiar fan-favorite locales such as the Village from Resident Evil 4, Raccoon City, RPD Police Station, Umbrella lab, and more.
An Upgrade Pack featuring a collection of Resident Evil character skins (Leon, Chris, Wesker and more), weapons, patches, custom colors, and emotes is available as an add-on for $14.99. The Deluxe Edition includes both the game and the Upgrade Pack contents together at a discounted cost of $39.99.
Capcom will be supporting Umbrella Corps with free post-launch DLC in the coming months including maps based on the Mansion from the first Resident Evil and Lanshiang from Resident Evil 6, as well as a free-for-all “4 Survivors” mode.
Battle mini game is rolling out today to all owners of the console editions of Minecraft via a free game update. It includes three maps on which you can battle it out with your friends. Mojang will release more map packs down the line, each costing $2.99 or local equivalent.
Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment today released the next video in a series of LEGO Star Wars: The Force Awakens character vignettes spotlighting Kylo Ren, the dark warrior who commands the First Order. The video showcases Kylo Ren’s LEGO character in full form through key gameplay moments, cinematic cutscenes and authentic audio, all with signature LEGO humor. The vignette also features original dialogue recorded by actor Adam Driver, who plays the role of Kylo Ren in the Star Wars: The Force Awakens film.
LEGO Star Wars: The Force Awakens will be released on June 28th.
Focus Home Interactive and Spiders Studio have released a new gameplay trailer for The Technomancer, teaching you how to survive on mars. The sci-fi RPG releases on July 28th for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC.
Nintendo has announced that Minecraft: Wii U Edition is now available in stores nationwide for a SRP of $29.99. This retail version of the game comes with the same Minecraft add-on content packs included in the Nintendo eShop version of the game on the disc at no extra charge. This includes the recently released Super Mario Mash-Up Pack, which adds elements from the Super Mario series to the game.
Epic Games announced today that its forthcoming MOBA, Paragon will be moving into Free Open Beta on August 16th allowing even more PC and PlayStation 4 owners to join the battle for lane supremacy.
Ahead of this, on July 21, existing Early Access players will get a brand new Hero, Khaimera. This melee fighter is Paragon’s first duelist who specializes in disrupting team fights with close-up encounters. His Pounce leaps to a target enemy Hero, briefly stunning that Hero and dealing Physical Damage around him.
While engaged in fights, Khaimera’s Spirit Regeneration stacks more health regen with each basic attack. His Ultimate, Cull, deals a large amount of damage, both rooting and isolating a target from allies.
Finally, Epic today confirmed a number of big changes planned for Paragon, including an all-new Draft Mode, changes to gameplay, and more.
Activision announced today that Kit Harington will be featured in the upcoming Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare, scheduled for release November 4th. The role marks a dramatic shift for the actor, as he portrays the face of the enemy in the new Call of Duty game in development by Infinity Ward.
To lend additional support to the production, Activision and Infinity Ward worked closely with director Guy Ritchie, who is familiar with the Call of Duty franchise, having helmed the live-action trailer “Surprise” for Call of Duty: Black Ops II.
Co-producers Microids and Pendulo Studios have released a teaser video for Yesterday Origins, the upcoming game that takes players on an adventure across the globe and through time. Yesterday Origins is scheduled to launch on September 29th for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC.
The NPD Group has released its retail report for the month of May. While hardware sales were down year-over-year in May by 10%, software sales were up 18%. Overall, total industry sales were up 4% to $528.6 million. Once again, PlayStation 4 was the top-selling hardware platform and the software sales leader in May.
