DOOM: Unto the Evil DLC Pack Now Available

DOOM’s first premium DLC pack, Unto the Evil, is available today for download on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC for $14.99. To celebrate the launch, Bethesda Softworks has released a new gameplay trailer.

Unto the Evil brings three new maps to DOOM multiplayer: Offering, Cataclysm, and Ritual. In addition, the DLC adds the UAC EMG Pistol as a new weapon, the Kinetic Mine as new equipment, and the Harvester as a new playable demon. Unto the Evil also adds new armor sets, patterns, colors, and taunts, as well as new hack modules. id Software is also introducing the PartyPlay system, which allows anyone to play any of the new maps from Unto the Evil, as long as you party up with a friend who owns the DLC. Similarly, if you own the DLC, the Unto the Evil DLC maps will be accessible to anyone who’s in your party as part of the map rotation.

The Elder Scrolls Legends PC Open Beta Now Available

Today during QuakeCon 2016, Bethesda Softworks announced the launch of the PC Open Beta for The Elder Scrolls: Legends, the first free-to-play strategy card game based on the Elder Scrolls series. Players can now download the Open Beta for free, via the Bethesda.net launcher.

The Elder Scrolls: Legends is currently in development for PC and is expected to fully release later this year.

MeiQ: Labyrinth of Death – Customization Trailer

NIS America has released a new trailer for MeiQ: Labyrinth of Death that shows the limitless possibilities of customization for the Guardians. You can change and evolve bodies, equip them with different weapons to create different attack combinations, and pair them up with different Machina Mages to make the most of their elemental affinities. Tweaking all of these options can mean the difference between success or defeat in battle.

MeiQ: Labyrinth of Death will be available for the PlayStation Vita on September 13th.

Sign Up Today for the Forza Racing Championship

ESL continues its partnership with Microsoft and Forza Motorsport to support and broadcast the Forza Racing Championship, the largest Forza racing competition in history. Season one of the competition encompasses both an Elite and Open series, for aspiring professionals and amateurs alike. Spanning one month, the Forza Racing Championship Elite Series seeks to crown the best Forza player in the world, and will award him/her the ultimate prize: a brand new 2017 Ford Focus RS.

In addition to potentially winning the all new top performance model Ford Focus RS, top players will also receive prizes from Xbox, Microsoft and Logitech, including: Xbox One S consoles, Xbox Elite controllers, Logitech wheels and more. Everyone who posts a time in the weekly Forza Racing Championship Elite Series Rivals qualifier will receive a special bonus 1973 Ford Escort 1600 in-game car. This bonus car will feature a new Forza Racing Championship livery, which will change each week and will only be available to Forza Racing Championship contestants. Weekly competition kicks off on August 8th and will run through to September 4th with broadcasts available on Twitch. Registrations are currently open, with more information to be found on ESL Play.

The Forza Racing Championship Open Series also begins August 8th and will pit players against one another for Forza Motorsport 6 prizes, including codes for Forza Motorsport 6 DLC like the NASCAR Expansion, the Porsche Expansion, and the Forza Motorsport 6 Car Pass. In addition, each week, all participants in the ForzaRC Open Series League will be sent a special bonus car – the 1971 Ford Falcon XY GTHO Phase III – with a custom ForzaRC Open Series livery that will be unique for each week of competition. Typoman: Revised Arrives August 15th on Steam

Indie developer Brainseed Factory today announced Typoman: Revised will be launching on Steam August 15th for PC. Console release, which includes PlayStation 4 and Xbox One will be coming soon shortly after. Typoman: Revised exclusively launched on Wii U back in November of 2015. Since then, multiple game design and graphics improvements have been made throughout the game to give the Steam launch the most up-to-date gameplay experience. A free demo version will also be available on Steam. Typoman: Revised is set to be priced at $14.99 with a 20% off it’s first week of launch.

Gambitious to Publish Outreach

Gambitious Digital Entertainment today announced it is partnering with indie developer Pixel Spill to release the upcoming narrative adventure game Outreach.

Set in the 1980s near the fall of the Cold War, Outreach sends players into the unforgiving grips of Earth’s orbit as a lone cosmonaut to investigate the disappearance of the crew of a covert Soviet military space station. They’ll have to explore this crippled and seemingly abandoned installation, uncovering the secrets behind the lives and fates of those surrounding it along the way.

Outreach is expected to launch in 2017 on PC.

F1 2016 – Career Trailer

Codemasters and Deep Silver have released a new gameplay video that highlights many of the key features in the ten-year Career Mode.

It was also announced today that F1 2016 will feature Multiplayer Championship, a brand new game mode that allows up to 22 players to compete against each other over the course of a season. The new mode allows players to race as teammates or to battle it out as different teams as well as offering possibilities for league play.

F1 2016 will be available on August 19th for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC.

Torment: Tides of Numenera Coming to PS4 and Xbox One

inXile Entertainment and Techland Publishing today announced that the science-fantasy RPG Torment: Tides of Numenera will also be available on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. Torment: Tides of Numenera was originally only set for a PC release in early Q1 2017. However inXile and Techland have been hard at work behind the scenes to ensure the title will have a console launch simultaneous with the PC version.
