Meet Yukari Yakumo in the new Touhou Genso Rondo: Bullet Ballet character trailer. Developed by Cubetype, Touhou Genso Rondo: Bullet Ballet is a remastered shoot’em up that takes place in the Touhou universe. The game will be available in September for the PlayStation 4.
Bossa Studios is taking applications this weekend for the next playtest of Worlds Adrift, their open-world multiplayer game set in a persistent world of floating islands. Playtesters will be able to experience new additions to Worlds Adrift including new creatures, cooperative sky-ship piloting and dangerous weather patterns, along with new items, character looks and performance and user interface improvement.
The deadline for signing up to take part in the playtest is August 29th, and the playtest is currently limited to North America and Europe. To sign up, players need to create an account on WorldsAdrift.com. After activating their account, they will receive a link to the Alpha application survey.

The action adventure platformer Shiny is blasting onto PC on August 31st, but Garage 227 Studios regretfully announces that Xbox One gamers must wait a little longer before they can save Kramer 227 and his robot friends. The Xbox One version needs a few final tweaks. Luckily the wait isn’t too long, as Shiny will be launching on Xbox One in October.

Headup Games today launched Solar Shifter EX for the Xbox One. The game is a sci-fi bullet hell shooter with western graphics and the unique ability to “shift” (teleport) into or away from the action, for a last-second “save” or to launch into bullet-blasting battles.
Focus Home Interactive has released a 15-minute gameplay video of the pre-alpha version of DontNod’s Action-RPG, Vampyr, showcasing some of the ideas that make Vampyr a unique gameplay experience, where the narrative is directly tied to the gameplay. Without any spoilers, the presentation begins a little after the beginning of the game. Now aware of being a vampire, protagonist Dr Jonathan Reid must come to terms with what he has become, meeting some of the characters you will interact with along your journey – some of whom are aware of what you are, and also share the same affliction.
Vampyr comes out on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC in 2017.

The Behemoth announced that the Pit People Xbox One closed beta will launch on the afternoon of September 8th and run through September 15th. Emails will be sent to selected beta testers starting today and beta codes will be sent out on September 8th. Anyone can still sign up for the Xbox One closed beta until September 8th.

NIS America announced a partnership with Arc System Works, Toybox, and Yasuhiro Wada to localize the upcoming god game, Birthdays (working title) for North America. Birthdays is currently under development by Mr. Wada and is scheduled to be released in Japan on January 19th for the PlayStation 4.
Birthdays allows players to create and evolve an entire world by steadily maintaining your world’s environment, starting from the smallest organisms to the birth of civilizations.
