XSEED Games today announced that their upcoming bullet hell-inspired action RPG, Touhou: Scarlet Curiosity, will launch exclusively for the PlayStation 4 on September 20th. A fan-made indie title that originally debuted on PC as a Japanese release, Touhou: Scarlet Curiosity will support full 1080p native resolution running at 60 frames-per second for its PS4 premier. The game will be available digitally on the PlayStation Store for $19.99.

Microsoft Studios and indie hip hop group Run the Jewels formally kicked off their collaboration with a sneak-peak from their third studio album, Run the Jewels 3, the follow up to their sophomore release, RTJ2. Titled “Panther Like a Panther,” the track is exclusively featured in the Horde 3.0 debut trailer in support of the upcoming Gears of War 4, which launches on Xbox One and Windows 10 platforms October 11th.
Horde 3.0 marks the return of the multiplayer survival mode that pits up to five players against waves of enemies – a genre that Gears of War helped popularize with the release of Gears of War 2 in 2009. This is the first time Horde has appeared in a Gears of War game in five years, and returns to the mode’s trademark co-op multiplayer intensity, with the addition of modern touches such as classes, abilities and fortifications.
In addition to ferocious new classes of enemies like the Swarm and the DeeBees, Horde 3.0 also introduces new innovations like a class-based system that lets you choose from five variations in roles – Soldier, Sniper, Scout, Heavy and Engineer – to play to your strengths and encourage teamwork. In addition, the new “Fabricator” is a deployable base of operations that allows players to build their defenses anywhere on the map and execute their defensive strategy.
Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment today announced that Mortal Kombat XL for PC will be available for purchase October 4th. Originally developed by NetherRealm Studios, Mortal Kombat XL is adapted for PC by Qloc. Additionally on that day, current owners of Mortal Kombat X on PC will be able to download the latest patch for free, giving players access to all of the latest balance updates as well as the enhanced online experience that was available in the recent beta test for the game.

Creative Assembly releases the next stage in the Total War: Warhammer free content schedule drops today as Vlad von Carstien takes to the field for the Vampire Counts. A new Legendary Lord complete with his own skills, abilities and quest chain will be accompanied by five new battle maps for all current owners of the game.
New paid DLC also arrives today as The Grim & The Grave adds Volkmar the Grim for the Empire, and Helman Ghorst for the Vampire Counts. Alongside this, The Grim & The Grave also adds two new lord types to the game with the Vampire Counts receiving the fearsome Strigoi Ghoul King, and the Arch Lector, mightiest of all warrior priests, joining the Empire.

Join the Fab Four on September 7th for an exclusive live performance at the Abbey Road Studios featuring the London Philharmonic Orchestra and an appearance from composer Yoko Shimomura.
During the hour-long one-off concert, the London Philharmonic Orchestra will perform live renditions of songs from the Final Fantasy XV soundtrack, including previously unheard music from the game. Final Fantasy XV composer, Yoko Shimomura, will also offer further insight into the recording of the game’s soundtrack alongside her own commentary of the songs which will be performed.
The concert will be broadcasted live worldwide from Studio One via the Final Fantasy XV YouTube channel and the Square Enix Twitch channel from 11:00 a.m. Pacific on Wednesday, September 7th. The full concert will also be uploaded to YouTube straight after the show for those unable to tune-in during the live show.
Final Fantasy X will be available November 29th for Xbox One and the PlayStation 4.
Gambitious Digital Entertainment and indie developer ThirtyThree have released the side-scrolling retro runner-platformer RunGunJumpGun, a neon fever dream of action inspired by the precision and speed of Downwell, movement of Flappy Bird and attitude of Hotline Miami.
RunGunJumpGun is now available on PC via Steam, The Humble Store and Green Man Gaming for $7.99. A special edition of the game featuring its digital soundtrack, a desktop wallpaper and high-resolution art is also available for $9.99.
