Atelier Shallie Plus Sets Sail on PlayStation Vita

Koei Tecmo today announced the digital release of Atelier Shallie Plus: Alchemists of the Dusk Sea for the PlayStation Vita. This portable Plus version of 2015’s Atelier installment, previously exclusive to the PlayStation 3, offers new content including brand new episodes, new bosses, PlayStation Vita optimization features, additions to character costumes, and a new message log feature, as well as all of the DLC from the original release.

Players who purchase Atelier Shallie Plus: Alchemists of the Dusk Sea within its first month of sale – either physically or digitally through the PlayStation Store – can dress up their characters in five styles downloadable for free from the PlayStation Store including the Administrator Suit, Hero Girl Costume, Cosmo Fighter Costume, Sophie Style Costume and Plachta Style Costume. A special selection of background music will also be available to download for free for early purchasers, featuring choice tracks from the Atelier franchise.

The Flame in the Flood Hits PS4 Today

The Molasses Flood and Curve Digital today announced that its survival game The Flame in the Flood is now available on the PlayStation 4. Launching as The Flame in the Flood: Complete Edition, this exclusive PS4 edition contains a new Directors’ Commentary, a dynamic theme, two new system avatars, plus a host of gameplay tweaks.

WWE 2K17 Future Stars Pack Now Available

2K today announced the WWE 2K17 Future Stars Pack is now available as DLC, enabling access to playable NXT Superstars Tye Dillinger and Austin Aries, as well as playable WWE Superstars Karl Anderson, Luke Gallows and Mojo Rawley. The Future Stars Pack is available for $8.99 and is also included as part of the game’s Season Pass.

Final Fantasy XIV Patch 3.5 is Live

Square Enix today released the latest patch update for Final Fantasy XIV, entitled “The Far Edge of Fate.” The update brings a variety of new features in addition to a number of gameplay additions and changes:

• Main Scenario Quests: With the threat of the Warriors of Darkness vanquished, the Scions of the Seventh Dawn set their feet upon fate’s path and gaze upon distant horizons.
• New Alliance Raid: The hunt for Diablos continues in Dun Scaith, the latest 24-man raid and follow up to The Weeping City of Mhach. Players will venture to this island created by Mhachi sorcerers, now transformed into a haven for voidsent, with the hopes of vanquishing this powerful foe.
• Containment Bay Z1T9: Adventurers will be able to confront Zurvan, the Demon—the final pillar of the Warring Triad—in both normal and extreme difficulties.
• New High-Level Dungeons: Two new dungeons have been added for adventurers to challenge. Heroes can scale the towering Baelsar’s Wall that separates the Garlean-controlled Ala Mhigo from the rest of Eorzea, and also revisit the sacred grounds of the dragons in Sohm Al (Hard), now in disarray following the defeat of Nidhogg.
• New Side Quests: Hildibrand—agent of enquiry, inspector extraordinaire—returns for further adventures as he clashes with the Grand Sers to rescue the young Gigi. Additionally, new mysteries confront the students of Saint Endalim’s Scholasticate—players must work with Inspector Briardien to uncover the culprit behind chaos that plagues the student body.
• Garo Collaboration and PvP Updates: New PvP gear and mounts, modeled after character designs from the Japanese TV series Garo, will make their debut. Furthermore, new changes to PvP gameplay will allow players to duel opponents with synced item levels, as well as participate in the massive Frontline battles without being restricted to their Grand Company’s allegiance.
• Party Finder Updates: Adventurers will now be able to join forces with adventurers from other Worlds to take down the foes of Eorzea using the expanded Party Finder. Additionally, the system will allow players to create parties which their friends can join using a special password.
• Egi Glamours: Through completion of a new quest, summoners will now be able to change the appearance of their egi through a special text command. This initial update includes Emerald, Topaz, and Ruby Carbuncle models as glamour options, with more scheduled for future patches.

After releasing last year on PlayStation 4 and PlayStation Vita, Benjamin Rivers will bring its sci-fi, narrative-driven adventure game Alone With You to PC via Steam on February 9th for $9.99 USD. During the launch week players can purchase Alone With You for a 15% discount.

Frozenbyte Announces Has-Been Heroes

Frozenbyte Games today announced Has-Been Heroes for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC. Has-Been Heroes is a roguelike game of strategy and action, featuring a band of heroes on a quest to escort the King’s twin princesses to the Princess Academy.

Has-Been Heroes is coming to retail shelves in March with a SRP of $19.99 USD.

Pit People Out Now on Early Access

Pit People is out now on Xbox One Game Preview and Steam Early Access.

Early pioneers of Pit People can buy the game at a discounted price of $14.99 USD and these Early Access owners will receive permanent access to the full game. When the game is in full release it will be $19.99 USD — but anyone who already owns the game would have their version automatically upgraded at no additional charge.

For players who own certain Behemoth game titles on the same Xbox One or Steam account will receive items in Pit People for having them.

On Xbox One, get unlocks in Pit People for owning Castle Crashers Remastered and Pit People on the same Xbox account. On Steam, get unlocks in Pit People for owning Castle Crashers and/or BattleBlock Theater on the same account as Pit People.

The Pit People Early Access experience will include a sizeable chunk of the Story mission, plus access to several world maps, quests, Unfair Challenge against the AI, and Versus mode. The game can be experienced as a single player or two-player cooperative mode. Additionally, versus can be played with up to 4 people in 2v2. All multiplayer modes can be played locally or online.

Disgaea 5 Complete Coming to Nintendo Switch

Following the Nintendo event in New York City, NIS America announced that Disgaea 5 Complete will be heading to Nintendo Switch in Spring 2017 as a physical and digital release. The game includes all 8 bonus scenarios, 4 characters, and 3 character classes that were originally DLC in the PlayStation 4 release of Disgaea 5: Alliance of Vengeance.

In addition, NIS America will be releasing a Limited Edition version of the game which is currently available for pre-order at our online store.

Sonic Mania Coming to Nintendo Switch

Following the Nintendo Switch Presentation, Sega announced that Sonic Mania will be released for the Nintendo Switch. Additionally, Sega will release a very limited Collector’s Edition of Sonic Mania for the Switch for $69.99 USD / $89.99 CAD.

Vikings – Wolves of Midgard Gameplay Trailer

Kalypso Media has revealed a new gameplay trailer for its upcoming action RPG Vikings – Wolves of Midgard. The trailer offers a look at the environments gamers will be able to explore, as well as a sneak peek at the bosses, magical abilities and progression systems.
