Stars in Shadows Available Now

After four months in Early Access, Iceberg Interactive and developer Ashdar Games today officially released its classic 4X turn-based strategy title Stars in Shadow for PC via Steam and other digital download platforms for $24.99 USD with a 25% launch week discount. Two brand new factions have been implemented, strategic zoom is added, as well as the Galactic Council. Moreover, various new minor races can be discovered and the option to use slaves for scientific experiments is now made available to all players.

Ubisoft and Twitch Collaborate for Limited-Time For Honor Event

Ubisoft and Twitch today announced a collaboration on “War of the Factions”, a limited-time, cross-platform event tied to the upcoming For Honor beta, January 26-29. During the beta event, popular Twitch streamers along with selected community members and For Honor fans, will pledge their swords to one of the three For Honor Factions – the Knights, Samurai or Vikings. As Generals, these streamers will lead their armies of players to battle on their respective Twitch channels. All activity from the Generals and the entire player base of the beta during War of the Factions can be found here: forhonorgame.com/war. Fans still looking to pledge their sword to a Faction can sign up for a chance to participate in the closed beta at forhonorgame.com/war.

In addition to the War of the Factions event, For Honor will be part of an upcoming Twitch Prime promotion, where all Twitch Prime members can get an exclusive For Honor Twitch Prime bundle. This bundle will include a 10-day Champion Status that gives players XP boosts that can be shared amongst friends, more XP from crafting, additional end-match loot, plus the “United Factions Emblem” that can be used to customize their character. The For Honor Twitch Prime bundle is only and will be available in-game when For Honor launches on February 14th.

Codemasters and Deep Silver Announce Micro Machines World Series

Codemasters and Deep Silver announced today that the gaming franchise, Micro Machines, will be racing its way onto PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC in April. Micro Machines World Series retains the manic social gameplay of the series, updated with HD visuals showcased in the return of classic locations such as the garden, kitchen, workshop and many more that fans will race through with a vast array of miniature vehicles.

In addition to classic game modes such as Race and Elimination, Micro Machines World Series introduces all new Battle Arenas which allow you to wreak mass destruction on a miniature scale against your friends or AI. Meanwhile, Team Play lets you work together using your vehicles’ unique skills in modes such as “Capture the Flag” and “King of the Hill.” Micro Machines World Series will support up to 12 players online and four players on the same screen.

Crash Force Coming to Xbox One and PC in April

Crash Force, a multiplayer arena shooter with RPG elements from Ascanio Entertainment, where players control powerful hovercrafts, will come to PC and Xbox One in April, but releases tomorrow on Steam Early Access for $29.99.

Bandai Namco Announces WRC 6

Bandai Namco and Bigben Interactive today announced WRC 6, a new entry in the rally racing series based on the FIA World Rally Championship. WRC 6 features all official rallies along with the official drivers and teams in the latest season of the rally series. The title will be coming out on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC via Steam in March.

Torment: Tides of Numenera – Combat Trailer

inXile Entertainment and Techland Publishing today revealed the latest trailer for their upcoming, science-fantasy RPG, Torment: Tides of Numenera – the thematic successor to Planescape: Torment.

The world of Torment: Tides of Numenera is rife with conflict. Although players can avoid or resolve dangerous situations in bloodless ways with deception, persuasion or stealth, sometimes a decision – or even just a bad roll of the dice – will mean that blood must be spilled. Take a look at the game’s combat trailer to see the ways in which players can emerge victorious from such conflicts.

The Town of Light Coming to PlayStation 4 and Xbox One

Wired Productions revealed today that it has signed a publishing agreement with Italian developer LKA.it to bring an updated version of the psychological adventure The Town of Light to consoles and PC. Offering fresh, story-supporting content and a myriad of enhancements to its original release, The Town of Light will make its retail debut on the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One in Q2 2017, alongside an improved PC version.

An enhanced edition of the original, this new release of The Town of Light will offer new puzzles, additional story elements, reworked voiceover dialogue, more interactive elements and a graphical and UI overhaul that aims to deliver a more polished and immersive experience. A new trailer was released today that highlights the game’s tone and narrative.

Battleborn’s Third Story Op and New Playable Character Available

2K and Gearbox Software today released Battleborn’s Third Story Operation, “Oscar Mike vs The Battle School”, as well as early access to the 30th Battleborn hero, Beatrix, as part of the Winter Update.

In Battleborn’s DLC Story Operation 3 ($4.99 separately or included in the $19.99 Season Pass), Oscar Mike takes you through the ringer dodging traps, completing obstacles, and fighting through rigorous combat.

As a former scientist, Beatrix wields a massive syringe arm to spread debilitating debuffs and disease. A master at manipulating life, her prowess for science combined with her Jennerit ruthlessness makes her one extremely qualified, and extremely dangerous physician. Beatrix will be free for everyone with 47,500 credits earned in-game, or unlocked instantly using a hero key, which is included in the Season Pass.

Since launch Gearbox Software has been working to developer new features and improvements for Battleborn, and with the Winter Update comes all-new player experiences: The core 25 characters will now be unlocked at the start of the game, story mode missions will have additional guides and tools to lead you through various areas of the game, and the credit rewards have also been boosted to help you get an early edge on loot packs. Additional features of the Winter Update include PS4 Pro support, new challenges through Main and Daily Quests, Draft Mode and an overhauled UI.
