Torn Banner Studios today released a new trailer exploring one of the classes of their upcoming multiplayer action-combat game Mirage: Arcane Warfare, the Vigilist.
The stalwart Vigilist is a key element of any well-balanced team in Mirage: Arcane Warfare. Designed to protect vulnerable allies and aid in the destruction of others, she is the first line of defense against the fury of the enemy team’s attacks with her shield, spear and complement of defense-minded magic abilities.
Mirage: Arcane Warfare will be available for PC in 2017.
Death Squared, a co-operative puzzler from SMG Studio that follows a team of robots escaping a treacherous science facility, will release for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC on March 14th. The PS4 version will feature online multiplayer via Share Play functionality.
Guide teams of two or four robots to their respective color-coded waypoints in increasingly-complex levels. But beware! Insidious death traps litter the way and, when tripped by hasty sprinters or uncommunicative friends, quickly send the cuboid companions to the big scrapyard in the sky.
If one robot meets their death, the entire squad returns to the beginning of the level. Players must work together to learn each stage through trial and error, putting newly-gained knowledge of a level’s hidden obstacles into action.
Indie developer Stoic today announced that after less than 7 days they have reached the initial $200,000 target for the Banner Saga 3 on Kickstarter. The crowdfunding campaign for the third installment of the turn-based strategy series has now unlocked it’s first stretch goal, with the introduction of playable Dredge if the campaign hits $250,000. Further stretch goals will be revealed as the campaign progresses.
Dontnod Eleven today announced that its competitive 2.5D multiplayer shooter, Battlecrew Space Pirates, is now available for PC via Steam Early Access for the 30% discounted price of $6.99 during the first week. The game takes place in an original Space Pirates universe, where players control heroes that cooperate or compete for the most precious treasures of the galaxy. Players can take part in Early Access by purchasing Battlecrew Space Pirates through the official Steam page.
Perfect World Entertainment and Cryptic Studios today announced Neverwinter: The Cloaked Ascendancy is releasing for PC on February 21st, following on Xbox One and PlayStation 4 later this year. The Spellplague continues to cast a shadow over Neverwinter, as four mages torn from the Cloak Tower by a spellstorm return to usurp the throne. With this latest expansion for the free-to-play MMORPG based on the Dungeons & Dragons franchise, adventurers can look forward to several all-new features including a new campaign, adventure zone, skirmish and more.
Starbreeze and Behaviour Digital have agreed to bring its asymmetrical multiplayer horror game Dead by Daylight to PlayStation 4 and Xbox One in digital format later this year. Released on PC in June 2016, Dead by Daylight has already sold more than 1.8 million copies on Steam.
Bethesda Softworks today announced The Elder Scrolls Online: Morrowind, the next chapter of the online RPG, The Elder Scrolls Online. This new adventure will return Elder Scrolls fans to the island of Vvardenfell, the same environment featured in Bethesda Game Studios’ open world RPG, The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind.
Introducing a new zone, a new player class, more than 30 hours of main story content, a new Trial, and a new three-team, 4v4v4 PvP mode, The Elder Scrolls Online: Morrowind will be the biggest addition to The Elder Scrolls Online yet.
The Elder Scrolls Online: Morrowind will release for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One on June 6th.
Ubisoft today announced that the For Honor open beta will be available to all players from February 9-12 on current-gen consoles and PC. This beta will include the new Elimination mode, a best of five rounds four-versus-four match with no respawns. Elimination joins three additional modes playable in the open beta including Dominion, Brawl and Duel, and nine playable Heroes. At launch, For Honor will feature twelve playable Heroes and five different multiplayer modes.
The War of the Factions will continue into the open beta giving more players a chance to fight for one of the three Factions – Knights, Samurai and Vikings. Following the closed beta, the Vikings led the War of the Factions, which pulled data from the performance of players across all three platforms. Although the Vikings are currently in the lead, Samurai and Knight players have the chance to lead their Faction to victory during the open beta and earn rewards when For Honor launches on February 14th.
Sabotage, the first DLC pack for Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare, is available now on PlayStation 4, with other platforms to follow. Sabotage delivers four new multiplayer maps, including the return of one of Call of Duty’s most famed maps from Modern Warfare 2, Afghan, re-imagined for a new generation. The new DLC pack also features “Rave in the Redwoods,” as Kevin Smith joins the cast in the all-new, ‘90s inspired zombies experience.
Bandai Namco today announced that Digimon World: Next Order has launched exclusively for the PlayStation 4 in both digital and boxed-retail versions. Raise and train more than 200 Digimon in a journey to save the Digital World from the marauding Machinedramons.
