OOTP 18’s Digital Cover to Feature The Perfect Team

Out of the Park Developments today announced Out of the Park Baseball 18 will have a digital cover for the first time in its history. Instead of choosing a single player, however, OOTP 18 will be represented by a “Perfect Team” of the 11 best players at each position – plus a manager – to celebrate the launch on March 24th.

Coffee Stain to Publish Huntdown

Coffee Stain Studios today announced that it will publish Huntdown, a 1980’s arcade shooter in development for PC and consoles by Tommy Gustafsson, Andreas Renberg, and their team at Easy Trigger.

Huntdown is set in the future where the police have lost control to the mighty gangs who now rule the streets. Players will hunt down the gangs, go after their leaders, collect their bounty and make a healthy living — by making living unhealthy — in this cyberpunk-ish retro platformer handcrafted with an old-school pixel approach.

The Story of Snake Pass

Indie developer Sumo Digital have released the debut episode of its video developer diary series – The Story of Snake Pass – where creator Seb Liese discusses Snake Pass’ humble beginnings from an internal game project, through development, to its first consumer demo at EGX Rezzed in 2016.

Snake Pass will be available on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch and PC on March 28th.

Xbox Games with Gold for March 2017

Microsoft today revealed the Xbox Games with Gold offering for March. On Xbox One, Xbox Live Gold members can download Layers of Fear throughout March. Evolve: Ultimate Edition is also being offered starting March 16th through April 15th. On Xbox 360 and Xbox One with Backward Compatibility, starting March 1st, Borderlands 2 will be free for Xbox Live Gold members through March 15th. Then on March 16th, Xbox Live Gold members can download Heavy Weapon for free through March 31st.

GameStop Announces Limited Supply of Nintendo Switch Systems for Walk-In Customers

GameStop announced stores will have a limited supply of Nintendo Switch systems available for walk-in customers on the March 3rd launch day. Customers who were not able to pre-order the system are encouraged to attend GameStop’s midnight launch events held at stores across the nation for an opportunity to purchase Nintendo’s new home gaming system.

GameStop will also offer online a very limited supply of two different Nintendo Switch bundles. Bundle 1 will include the Nintendo Switch, the Switch Pro Controller and a copy of The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild game for $429.99 USD. Bundle 2 includes all the previously mentioned items, plus The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild official strategy guide for $454.99 USD.

The Elder Scrolls Online: Morrowind – Gameplay Trailer

ZeniMax Online Studios has released the first in-game look at the island of Vvardenfell, re-imagined within the world of The Elder Scrolls Online: Morrowind, via a new gameplay trailer.

The gameplay trailer introduces you to the saga in which you will return to Morrowind and take up arms to save the world from ultimate destruction. You will see more of the new zone, showcasing familiar locations from The Elder Scrolls III like Seyda Neen and Vivec City, as well as some of the new enemies, armor, weapons, and encounters coming to the game this June. You’ll also get a sneak peek at the new player class – the Warden – in action.

The Elder Scrolls Online: Morrowind will release for PC, Xbox One and PlayStation 4 on June 6th.

Serial Cleaner Revealed for PS4 and Xbox One

Sneak around bloody crime scenes and dispose of incriminating evidence all while avoiding police in the upcoming stealth action game Serial Cleaner from indie publisher Curve Digital and developer iFun4All. Announced today for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, Serial Cleaner will launch this summer on both platforms and PC via Steam. Serial Cleaner is currently available as a prototype in Steam Early Access.

Serial Cleaner has you explore, experiment and make swift decisions in order to avoid detection by police. Get caught and you earn a black mark on you protagonist’s career. You must also be wary of the environment as Serial Cleaner uses real-world data to modify levels accordingly with the current time of day in your whereabouts. Noise detection and “sneakability” will vary between night and day, and mean the difference between freedom and jail.

Troll and I – Features Video

Maximum Games, in partnership with developer Spiral House, has released a brand-new features trailer for its upcoming action adventure game, Troll and I, available March 21st for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. This video provides an overview of key gameplay features including the in-game foraging and crafting system, as well as the split-screen co-op feature. Maximum Games and Spiral House also confirmed today that Troll and I will be release on the Nintendo Switch later this Spring.

Dragon Quest Heroes II Explorer’s Edition Unveiled

Dragon Quest fans can now pre-order the Dragon Quest Heroes II Explorer’s Edition that offers 15 exclusive DLC items to assist in their fight against swarms of enemies and to return peace to the world. The DLC includes weapons designed from the enemies in the game, including the Slime Knight’s Shield, Great Sabreclaws, Golem Gauntlets and more. A reversible cover artwork of the Adventure Log is also included in this edition.

The Dragon Quest Heroes II Day One Explorer’s Edition is available for pre-order from the Square Enix Online Store or from the PlayStation Store. Fans who pre-order through the PlayStation Store will also receive:

  • Exclusive PS4 theme
  • Dragon Quest I Hero Costume
  • Special “Healix the Hero” recipe for Dragon Quest Builders – this in-game content will allow Dragon Quest Builders players to build a statue of one of the characters, Healix from Dragon Quest Heroes II.

Square Enix also unveiled the new overview trailer that highlights what the game has to offer: tons of characters, vast landscapes, fast action, customizable classes, and online multiplayer.

Dragon Quest Heroes II is releasing for the PlayStation 4 and Steam on April 25th.
