Birthdays the Beginning – “Celebrate” by Yasuhiro Wada

In the finale of Yasuhiro Wada’s trilogy of Birthdays the Beginning trailer videos, Mr. Wada discusses the theme “Celebrate!”

As you play through the story, you will notice a creature library that you slowly build on. This creature library can show a player’s captured life-forms, its rarity, and some insight on what life-form you captured. Once you finish the story mode, players will notice that only half of the library is discovered. Expand your world and find ways to capture all life-forms in free mode.

Lastly, Mr. Wada discusses “Challenge Mode” where your goal is to birth a specific organism within an allotted time given and other certain limitations. Think of it as a time attack mode. Remember, there are multiple ways to successfully complete the Challenge Mode, so anything goes.

Birthdays the Beginning arrives for the PlayStation 4 and Steam on May 9th.

Samurai Warriors: Spirit of Sanada – Castle Town & Exploration

Koei Tecmo today released a brand-new trailer for Samurai Warriors: Spirit of Sanada, showcasing a young Yukimura and the expansion Castle Town. The historically-inspired action title set in Sengoku Era Japn is slated to release on May 23rd for the PlayStation 4 and PC via Steam.

In Samurai Warriors: Spirit of Sanada, players will witness life in a Castle Town as it grows from a quiet and peaceful village to bustling and prosperous city. Players can reside there during missions and prepare for the next battle as well as talk to the officers and townspeople to gain a deeper insight into their daily lives. The fear of war and the celebration of victory both have their own effects on the morale of the people encountered, and some will ask for help with their troubles by offering missions.

The Castle Town expands throughout the course of the story, granting a greater array of facilities for players to utilize. The Blacksmith can improve and upgrade weapons to grant an upper-hand in combat, Stables allow for horses to be purchased and prepared for the next mission, Shops sell rare and unique items which will replenish an officer’s energy, and the Dojo provides a training ground where one can learn new skills or enhance older ones. At the Teahouse, Warriors can chat with one another and exchange gifts. Finding the correct gift will result in raised favor with another officer which allows them to join your forces on the front line.
