Paradox Interactive today announced that the city builder Cities: Skylines is now available for Xbox One. Newly optimized for play on a controller by Tantalus Media, the Xbox One Edition brings the management game to consoles along with Cities: Skylines – After Dark, the game’s nightlife-focused expansion.
THQ Nordic and Piranha Bytes today released a brand-new trailer for their upcoming sci-fi/fantasy action RPG Elex, set for release later this year on the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC. This prologue trailer recounts the events on Magalan, home to a civilization of millions, after the comet hit; earthquakes shattered its cities and firestorms swept the planet. As Magalan fell into darkness, the survivors faced a world that was unrecognizable. The prologue leads up to the point where players will be thrown into this world, now controlled by a substance called Elex.

Konami today released free DLC for Super Bomberman R, which gives gamers access to four new stages for battle mode and two new series of accessories using gems acquired in-game.

Super Bomberman R also received an update today, which offers a series of improvements and features. As part of the update, players can experience ‘Battle’ mode in 60 fps and have the option to choose the AI’s level of difficulty, as well as change the camera angle in ‘Story’ mode. Additionally, various adjustments have been made to improve controls, fix minor bugs, among others.
Additional items will also be released at a later date, including new characters such as Vic Viper Bomber from Gradius, Belmont Bomber from Castlevania, and Pyramid Head Bomber from Silent Hill.
XSEED Games today released a brand new story trailer teasing the reality-bending premise of Acquire’s upcoming satirical JRPG, Akiba’s Beat. The trailer also offers a glimpse at the game’s Akihabara-inspired environments, party-based action battle system, and hand-drawn art style.
Akiba’s Beat is headed to the PlayStation 4 and PlayStation Vita on May 16th.
Today’s release of the “Meet the Heroes” trailer rounds out the 15 playable characters that appear in the action-RPG, Dragon Quest Heroes II, which launches on April 25th for the PlayStation 4 and PC. The latest entry in this video series features Dragon Quest IV’s rogue trader and newcomer to the series, Torneko Taloon, and his array of unconventional weapons that plow through hordes of enemies. The video also showcases fan-favorites and returning heroes from Dragon Quest IV, Alena, the vivacious martial artist, and Kiryl, her steadfast defender.

Soedesco today announced AereA will be available as a boxed, special edition and on digital storefronts for the PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on June 30th. AereA is a music-themed, action RPG where you command four characters as they embark on a quest to return the nine primordial instruments to their rightful places and restore balance to the world of Aezir.
Along your quest to save Aezir, you’ll assemble a party of four characters, each with a set of harmonious, music-themed abilities and weapons. There’s Wolff, the archer, whose weapon is a harp; Jacques, the knight with a cello as his sword and shield; Jules, who channels magic through a lute; and, finally, Claude, the gunner whose weapon is a trumpet. Each character can be controlled by you as the player or cooperatively with up to three friends in local co-op.

Interactive Entertainment and DC Entertainment today unveiled a new Injustice 2 trailer, Shattered Alliances Part 5, highlighting Brainiac – the mastermind at the heart of the conflict in Injustice 2. Players will get a look at the level of destruction he’s capable of, and his malicious plan to take out the Earth, in Shattered Alliances Part 5.
Injustice 2 will be available for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on May 16th.
