Singularity 6 Reveals First Game, Palia, A Community Sim MMO

Singularity 6 has revealed its first game – Palia. Set in a fantasy world, Palia is a community simulation massively multiplayer online game where players can build a home and life, meet and befriend a cast of characters, and experience an evolving narrative with other players.

In Palia, humans are the legendary race, having disappeared thousands of years ago at the height of their grandeur and mastery of magic. Nobody in modern times knows why. Players awaken as human characters without explanation in a quaint village on Palia’s southern coast where they’ll make their home and forge a new future for humanity. Together with an online community, players will uncover the secrets to humanity’s past through an evolving narrative that will take years to fully unveil.

In a Q&A posted to the PlayStation Blog, Hermen Hulst, Head of PlayStation Studios, revealed that God of War 2 has been pushed out to next year to ensure that Santa Monica Studios can deliver the game that fans want to play.

Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous Coming to the Epic Games Store

Owlcat Games today announced that Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous will also be available for purchase on the Epic Game Store when it launches for PC later this year on September 2nd. The title is a faithful CRPG adaptation of the tabletop roleplaying system, Pathfinder First Edition.

This announcement comes on the heels of the Community Quest series coming to a close. The community event started in February and gave the dedicated backers of Wrath of the Righteous the opportunity to vote on critical events across the story, leading to this climactic trailer. This finale shows off one of the main antagonists of the game; a demonic priestess named Areelu Voresh.

Update 2 Brings Legion of the Dead to Watch Dogs: Legion

Today, Ubisoft announced that Title Update 4.5 for Watch Dogs: Legion is now available on all platforms.

Title Update 4.5 features Watch Dogs: Legion of the Dead, a brand-new online PvE mode currently in Alpha phase on PC. Watch Dogs: Legion of the Dead delivers a rogue-lite experience where players will have to “Survive-as-Anyone” against the looming threat of the undead and hostile living roaming the re-imagined fallen city of London. In solo or up to four friends in co-op, players will need to strategize on how to reach the extraction point for each run and gather as many supplies as possible along the way. Players can use abilities such as the Bee Swarm to decimate enemies, the AR Cloak to escape threats, and a Combat Spider-Bot equipped with a turret for protection.

The update also includes other free content across single-player campaign and online modes:

Online mode:

  • Tactical Op 2: Project Omni is a challenging mission which will require players to strategize with their team of four to infiltrate a secret project to find out why Londoners’ Optik devices are negatively affecting their brains.

Single-player campaign and online modes:

  • A free download of everyone’s favorite gran, Helen.
  • 60 FPS on new-gen consoles via Performance Mode.
  • Cross-gen play.
  • New Free Reward Track, with outfits, weapon skins, and more.

The Elder Scrolls Online: Blackwood Available Now on PC

Today, Bethesda Softworks announced the release of the latest Chapter in the ESO saga, The Elder Scrolls Online: Blackwood, available now for PC and Stadia players. The new Chapter delivers over 30 hours of new story content in the new region of Blackwood, complete with iconic locations that fans of The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion will surely recall. The Elder Scrolls Online: Blackwood will launch on Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PlayStation 5, and PlayStation 4 on June 8th.

As part of the Gates of Oblivion year-long storyline, the Blackwood Chapter will task players with exposing the daedric plots and tyrannical schemes consuming the region. Discover the connection of these plots to the Prince of Destruction and his dreadful plans for Tamriel. Though Blackwood is a standalone story, its events further the overall Gates of Oblivion narrative that will conclude later in 2021.

Players can look forward to the all-new Companions System, designed so whether you play single-player or with friends, you’ll never have to adventure alone again.
