Dragon Ball FighterZ Joins EVO 2018 Championship

Bandai Namco today announced that Dragon Ball FighterZ will take its place amongst other fighting games at this year’s EVO 2018 Championship – running August 3-5 in Las Vegas.

The Evolution Championship Series is the largest and longest-running fighting game tournament in the world, bringing together players of the highest caliber from around the globe to compete for big cash prizes and even bigger bragging rights within the competitive fighting game world.

More details about Dragon Ball FighterZ’s debut at EVO 2018 will be shared in the coming months.

Rainbow Six: Siege Free Play Weekend Starting February 15th

Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Siege will be available to play for free from February 15th to 20th. Interested players can join the more than 25 million player community on PC from Feb 15-18, on PlayStation 4 from Feb 15-18, and on Xbox One from Feb 15-19. Players who try the game during the free weekend can carry over their progress and continue to play uninterrupted if they purchase the game (except on the Starter edition).

Crossing Souls Demo Now Available on PS4 and Steam

Indie developer Fourattic and publisher Devolver Digital have released a demo on PlayStation 4 and PC for their upcoming adventure Crossing Souls. Spanning the first few hours of the suburban story, players are introduced to Chris, Joe, Charlie, Kevin and Matt as they uncover a government conspiracy spurred on by supernatural events in their town.

Crossing Souls launches on PlayStation 4 and PC on February 13th for $14.99.

Ancestors Legacy Coming in May, Open Multiplayer Beta Launches

1C Company and developer Destructive Creations today announced that the history-inspired squad-based real-time strategy title, Ancestors Legacy, will release on May 22nd for PC and Xbox One.

Eager warriors need not wait until May, as the Open Multiplayer PC Beta launches on Steam today. After offering the first glimpses to selected players and media in the closed single- and multiplayer betas at the end of 2017, Ancestors Legacy is now open for everyone to try out its multiplayer on their own. All four nations represented in the game are playable within the open beta on one of the three maps, ranging in size from 2 to 6 players (1v1, 2v2 and 3v3).

Mercenaries Kings Reloaded Edition is Out Now

Montreal based indie studio Tribute Games announced today that its side-scrolling old-school shooter-looter Mercenary Kings is out now in its extended definitive version for Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4 and PC. Entitled Mercenary Kings Reloaded Edition, the game is now available across all platforms for $19.99 USD and features additional content and other minor improvements over the original release, which will be automatically updated at no cost for its current owners on PS4 and PC.

Shaka Leads the Zulu in Civilization VI: Rise and Fall

2K and Firaxis Games today revealed that Shaka will lead the Zulu in Sid Meier’s Civilization VI: Rise and Fall, arriving February 8th.

Unquestionably one of military history’s greatest commanders, Shaka’s reforms to the Zulu armies gave them efficiency, organization, and lethality – making the impi one of the most feared forces in the world.

Shadow of War Blade of Galadriel Story Expansion is Now Available

Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment today released the Blade of Galadriel Story Expansion, all-new DLC for Middle-earth: Shadow of War allowing gamers to play as the elite Elven warrior Eltariel for the first time. Known by her enemies as the Blade of Galadriel, Eltariel is a deadly assassin working for the Elven Queen, Galadriel, and has been sent to Mordor for millennia to hunt the Nazgûl. The Blade of Galadriel Story Expansion features the following content:

• Play as Eltariel for the first time, an elite assassin known as the Blade of Galadriel, and go head-to-head with the newest addition to the ranks of the Nazgûl.
• Wield Eltariel’s dual Elven blades and harness the Light of Galadriel with a host of new combat abilities, skills and gear.
• Encounter new Nemesis characters, such as Flint, Tinder and the Slayer of the Dead, while battling the Nazgûl and learning more mysteries of their past.
• Gain eight unique Legendary Orcs who can return to join your forces in the main story campaign with new abilities added to the Nemesis System.

Additionally, several new free content updates are also available today for Middle-earth: Shadow of War owners, including:

• Nemesis System Enhancements – Orc Captains (whether friends or foes) can exhibit new traits and behaviors, adding further depth to combat encounters and player interactions, such as:
  • Tunnel Rat – Orcs can burrow into the ground and summon Ghûls.
  • Sniper Shot – Archers can fire from great distances with pinpoint accuracy.
  • Tremor – Ologs can pound the earth with tremendous force, staggering nearby threats and heavily damaging structures.
  • Gifts of Treasure – Followers can now bring players the gift of a Treasure Orc, providing even more ways to earn Gems and Mirian.
• Photo Mode Upgrades – New filters, frames and styles, along with adjustable expressions and added stickers, giving players more options for customizing in-game action shots.
• Player Skins – Choose to appear as Talion or Eltariel in the main story campaign.
