Shining Resonance Refrain Heads to the West This Summer

Sega today announced Shining Resonance Refrain is coming this Summer to PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC via Steam. Shining Resonance Refrain will tell the tale of sword-wielding Yuma and his friends as they fight the Empire. This marks the return of the Shining series to the West for the first time in a decade.

Shining Resonance Refrain remasters the original Shining Resonance, previously released on PlayStation 3 only in Japan, and features dual audio with English and Japanese voices. In addition to all of the original’s DLC, now included as part of the base “Original Mode,” Shining Resonance Refrain packs a new “Refrain Mode,” unlocking the Imperial Princess Excella and Dragonslayer Jinas as party members for a new experience – just be sure to save this for your second playthrough to avoid any spoilers.

Those who purchase the launch edition of Shining Resonance Refrain on PS4, Xbox One and Nintendo Switch will receive the game in a collectible metal slipcase, featuring character artwork of Excella, Sonia, and Kirika.

Warhammer 40,000: Mechanicus Announced

Kasedo Games today announced a partnership with Games Workshop to bring the turn-based tactical game, Warhammer 40,000: Mechanicus, to PC later this year.

Mechanicus puts you in control of an array of Adeptus Mechanicus forces for the first time ever as you lead your priests and troops on a tactical quest to salvage ancient technologies from the mysterious tombs of the planet Silva Tenebris. As Magos Dominus Faustinius of Mars, your every decision will shape the missions ahead and have far reaching consequences for you and your team.

To celebrate the announcement, Kasedo Games have released a trailer which plays the recording of a deceased Tech-Priest, Magos Dominus Reditus, which shows his contempt for the weakness of human flesh, and his never ending service to The Machine God. In-game, Mechanicus will enable you to overcome these ‘human weaknesses’ to upgrade your troops with augments that will replace their human limbs with bionics and mechadendrites. These will provide mechanical and tactical advantages as you progress throughout the game.
