Curve Digital and Infinite State Games today announced that Rogue Aces, the 2D aerial combat, arcade rogue-lite, is out now on Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4 and PlayStation Vita. Players must outflank, barrel-roll and dogfight their way through a series of 2D procedurally generated World War 2 scenarios in a bid to defeat enemy forces.
Square Enix Collective today announced that the 2D cinematic adventure Forgotton Anne will launch on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC on May 15th.
Forgotton Anne is a story-driven, hand-crafted 2D cinematic adventure focused on the mysterious Forgotten Lands: the hidden dimension where all mislaid items from the human world – the odd socks, the lost letters, the missing toys – all linger. With the help of the Forgotlings – creatures formed out of all of these missing items – the trapped Anne and Master Bonku begin a quest to find their way home.
Bungie today published an update to the Development Roadmap, and included in the update is an announcement of the next Expansion Pack for Destiny 2 called Warmind, releasing on May 8th. More details on Warmind will be revealed in a Twitch livestream on April 24th.
Ys Origin is now available on Xbox One for $19.99, including new and exclusive content from developer and publisher Dotemu. Ys Origin details the earliest events of the Ys universe where players face hordes of beasts and puzzles while ascending a dangerous tower with arcade-like, combo-driven action and platforming.
An exclusive new speedrun mode, available only for Xbox One players, will allow players to share their results on Xbox Live leaderboards to prove themselves as the fastest Ys Origin player in the world. Starbreeze, Skybound Entertainment and 505 Games have released the next cinematic character trailer for Overkill’s The Walking Dead. This new video reveals Maya, the second of the game’s four playable heroes. Like Aidan, the first character announced last December, Maya has been changed by the end of the world, where only those willing to fight by any means necessary have a hope to survive against the constant threat of the living and the dead.
Overkill’s The Walking Dead is expected to launch this fall on the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC.
Koei Tecmo today announced the upcoming western release of Nobunaga’s Ambition: Taishi, the latest standalone entry in the grand strategy series which focuses on the pivotal events of Sengoku Era Japan. Slated for release on June 5th for the PlayStation 4 and digitally for PC via Steam, players will be able to experience the moments that lead up to the fracture of Japan – from the establishment of clans to the emergence of the first Shogunate.
XSEED Games today announced their plans to publish a lineup of new and returning Marvelous titles in the coming year. The year’s offerings are set to kick off on PC on April 25th with the action adventure title Bullet Witch, previously an exclusive on Xbox 360, now featuring visual and gameplay improvements. Following the success of Fate/Extella: The Umbral Star, Fate/Extella Link is set for release this winter on the PlayStation 4 and PlayStation Vita, starting a new chapter on the battle for dominance over the virtual world of SE.RA.PH while adding an expanded cast of heroes from other entries in the Fate series, along with added online play for the PS4 version.
Meanwhile, the busty brawler series Senran Kagura will be returning to where it all began, then further exploring new ways to interact with some of its most popular characters as the series continues to expand into new genres. More than a re-release, Senran Kagura Burst Re:Newal is an HD remake of the already enhanced first title in the series, Senran Kagura Burst, which released for the Nintendo 3DS in 2013. Slated to launch on PlayStation 4 and PC, Senran Kagura Burst Re:Newal will bring a full 3D experience and new mechanics to fans of the action-focused series this fall. Complementing this release is the latest entry in the series, Senran Kagura Reflexions, released as Shinobi Refle: Senran Kagura in Japan in 2017 and slated to make its Western debut on the Nintendo Switch in summer 2018.
