Indie publisher Versus Evil, in partnership with indie developer Stoic, today released the latest character vignette from its current series aimed at highlighting the influential characters which will appear in the release of the final installment of the Viking role-playing game, The Banner Saga. The Banner Saga 3 launches on July 24th for PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Nintendo Switch.
In addition, Stoic and Versus Evil announced that the original The Banner Saga role-playing strategy game is coming to Nintendo Switch on May 17th.
This June will see the universal Minecraft Bedrock Engine come to the Nintendo Switch, along with a new physical version coming to stores at a SRP of $29.99.
This Bedrock version of the game contains all the previously released content, including the Super Mario Mash-Up Pack exclusive to Nintendo systems and all DLC, but now allows players to connect with friends on non-Nintendo systems like Xbox One. In addition, Minecraft will support the Nintendo Switch Online paid membership when it launches in September, as well as Xbox Live achievements and Gamerscore.
A new in-game store in this version of Minecraft called the Minecraft Marketplace will let players obtain community-created content like skins, worlds and textures for their Minecraft World using Minecoins, a new virtual in-game currency. Players will also gain access to new mini-games and game modes through online community-run servers.
Players who already own the Minecraft: Nintendo Switch Edition game will be able to download this definitive version free of charge so they can easily upgrade and enjoy all the added features.
Bandai Namco today launched One Piece Pirate Warriors 3 Deluxe Edition digitally on the Nintendo eShop for Nintendo Switch. One Piece Pirate Warriors 3 Deluxe Edition includes over 40 pieces of DLC, including missions and costumes. The game also features a local two-player co-op mode.
Nicalis today announced that Crystal Crisis, a new color-matching combat game, is coming to Nintendo Switch this fall. Developed and published by Nicalis, Crystal Crisis is presented like a one-on-one fighting game, but instead of pressing buttons to kick and punch, players arrange falling gems into matching colors to clear them from the screen and inflict damage on their opponents.
Adult Swim Games today announced with a new cinematic gameplay trailer that it will launch indie developer White Rabbit’s side-scrolling, monster-slaying action RPG Death’s Gambit on August 14th for the PlayStation 4 and PC.
