HandyGames today announced that Jagged Alliance: Rage!, the mercenary tactic spin-off from the Jagged Alliance franchise, will be available November 6th on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, in addition to PC on September 27th.
Tozai Games announced today that R-Type Dimensions will be launching on Nintendo Switch and Steam in late 2018. R-Type Dimensions includes both arcade classics initially published by Irem, R-Type and R-Type II. Each title can be played in classic mode with the original 2D graphics and retro music or with hi-res 3D graphics and remastered audio.
Two new features will be introduced in this edition: Full power-up mode, allowing players to power their ships to maximum weapon in Infinite Mode, and Fast forward, the ability to speed up the game in any mode. The Switch version will also feature in-game achievements.
Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment and IO Interactive today released the second installment in the Hitman 2 – How to Hitman video series, Assassin’s Mindset. This latest video shows players how to think like an assassin by mastering the art of stealth and avoiding detection in Hitman 2. By utilizing the mini-map and the new Picture-in-Picture feature, gamers can track victims in real-time, keep a close eye on potential threats when being hunted by security forces and gain crucial information to help plan the next important move.
Hitman 2 will be available for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC beginning November 13th.
Game industry veterans Alex Hutchinson, Yassine Riahi and Reid Schneider’s new Montreal-based development studio, Typhoon Studios, has partnered with indie publisher 505 Games on an unannounced multiplatform project. 505 Games joins partners including Makers Fund and Epic, creators of the Unreal Engine, to bring the first game from the offbeat Canadian studio to life.

Today, Athlon Games announced it has signed a long-term licensing agreement with Middle-earth Enterprises to develop and publish a video game based on The Lord of the Rings. Athlon Games is working with a partner developer to create an online game set in the world of Middle-earth at a time long before the events of The Lord of the Rings, exploring lands, people and creatures never seen before by fans of the Tolkien universe.

Today, Ubisoft announced that Operation Grim Sky, the third Season and major update for Year 3 of Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Siege, including 2 new Operators and a rework of the Hereford Base map, is now available for PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. Year 3 Pass owners can now play Operation Grim Sky’s two new Operators. All other players will be able to unlock these Operators starting September 11th using Renown or R6 Credits. The Hereford Base map rework and new content improvements are now available for free to all players.

Showcasing the various characters you will encounter on your journey through the Stolen Lands of Golarian, Pathfinder: Kingmaker’s newest trailer also highlights some of the combat your party will undertake when the game launches later this month.
Zen Studios today announced it is bringing tables from the Williams and Bally pinball collection to digital game stores. This global agreement grants Zen the digital rights to the full Williams and Bally pinball library, with the initial 2018 releases including Fish Tales, Junk Yard, Medieval Madness and The Getaway High Speed II – all of which are now available in public beta form through Pinball FX3 on Steam. In addition, these tables will be available for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch.
