Today, indie game development studio Flightless released Doomsday Vault on Nintendo Switch as well as PC via Steam and the Epic Game Store. Players can now adventure around a post-climate collapse Earth, using their Robotic suit’s tools and abilities to explore challenging environments and save Earth’s precious resources.
Indie developer Night School Studio and publisher MWM Interactive have revealed that the supernatural mystery-thriller game, Oxenfree II: Lost Signals, will be available on PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4 at launch in 2022. Set five years after the events of the original Oxenfree, the sequel will take players on a narrative-driven adventure featuring an all-new cast of characters and original story.

This unique event is Dartmoor like you’ve never seen it before. With bright skies above, four distinct gardens have been installed in the mansion grounds to showcase the pinnacle of horticultural excellence from around the world.
The Dartmoor Garden Show will play out as a three stage Escalation on your first playthrough, where a client and accomplice are randomly assigned, meaning that the winner of the Garden Show (which is based just as much on who is alive to claim the prize, as it is based on the quality of the gardens) will be different each time. Once you’ve completed all three stages, you’ll unlock the Summer Sightseeing Suit, the perfect companion for your future playthroughs.
You’ll also unlock Deterministic Mode, which can be activated by resetting the Escalation back to Stage 1 and choosing a newly-unlocked Starting Location. In this new mode for the Dartmoor Garden Show, the developers remove the random element and give you full control to decide who should be left alive to claim the prize of Dartmoor’s Greatest Gardner.
Finally, Contracts Mode is fully enabled for the Dartmoor Garden Show, giving you that chance to create your own contracts on any of the NPCs at the event. Craft your own narratives, set up your own challenges and compete for bragging rights with your friends.
2K today announced that NBA 2K22 is unveiling a new approach to its in-game soundtrack that includes an all-new integration with Seasons, along with an array of music from top artists, including Aitch, Freddie Gibbs, Gunna, Megan Thee Stallion, Metro Boomin, Saweetie, Skepta, Smino, Travis Scott, and many more.
Players will be able to discover music throughout the year via “First Fridays,” where new songs will be added to the soundtrack on the first Friday of every new Season. Each update will feature a mix of high-profile and up-and-coming artists to support music discovery and growth within NBA 2K22. More details on what will be included in each Season will be shared later in August.
This year also introduces brand-new ways for aspiring artists to become a part of the NBA 2K series music experience. The all-new Producer Series will integrate a Beats Pack into the game and create an opportunity for the community to record their best verses over the beats and showcase their talent. Announced today during the “Street Fighter V Summer Update 2021” digital program, the fifth character for Season 5 of Street Fighter V and the final fighter to be added to the game was revealed via a brief gameplay video. Luke, an entirely new character that promises to have a bright Street Fighter future ahead of him, will join the illustrious roster when he is released in November 2021. Also shared during the digital event, the wandering hermit Oro, Rival Schools biker Akira Kazama, and a new stage will all become available in Street Fighter V on August 16th.

CD Projekt Red today announced that both Price of Power: Thanedd Coup and the 6th season of Journey have arrived in GWENT: The Witcher Card Game.
Thanedd Coup is the second installment of the Price of Power expansion set, and focuses on the historic, violent clash between mages of the North and mages of Nilfgaard which took place during a conclave on Thanedd Island. The expansion, which brings 26 new cards, as well as new tactics for players to utilize, comes to GWENT today alongside the latest title update, and is now available across all platforms.
Today, Ubisoft announced that Far Cry 5 will be available to play for free from August 5 – 9 on Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4 and Epic Games Store and Ubisoft Store on PC. Players will have access to the entire game in solo and two-player co-op. In conjunction with the Free Weekend, there will be discounts on Far Cry 5’s Standard and Gold Editions.

Today, Square Enix announced that Marvel’s Avengers Expansion: Black Panther – War for Wakanda will launch on August 17th as a free update to all owners of the core game. In addition to adding Black Panther, the third new playable Super Hero, the War for Wakanda expansion also brings with it two new villains, a brand-new environment to explore, new enemies, the Birnin Zana Outpost, new solo or multiplayer Drop Zone and Threat Sector missions and more, adding the most content to Marvel’s Avengers since the game’s launch.
