1C Entertainment and Prime Matter today revealed the third playable character for King’s Bounty II. Today’s new trailer introduces Elisa, a human paladin who is ready to do anything to save her homeland. The upcoming successor of the turn-based tactical role-playing series, King’s Bounty will launch on August 24th on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC.
Today Eidos-Montréal has released a new dev insight video revealing the inspiration behind character design in Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy. Following on from the global reveal last June at E3, the deep dive explores the designs of each of the core members of the unlikely team of misfits: Star-Lord (a.k.a Peter Quill), Gamora, Drax, Rocket and Groot.

Ubisoft announced that Assassin’s Creed Valhalla’s next major expansion, The Siege of Paris, will be available tomorrow, August 12th.
Set in Francia, this new adventure will set Eivor on a dangerous path full of gripping questlines across the Frankish countryside towards one of the most infamous battles in Viking history. Players will get their hands on new weapons, abilities, gear, and skills to take on new enemy types. The Siege of Paris will also mark the return of Infiltration Missions, directly inherited from long-time, fan-favorite Black Box Missions. Here, players will have the liberty to choose the best way to eliminate their designated target. The Siege of Paris will be available for all Season Pass owners or as a separate purchase for $34.99 by all owners of the main game.
Players will have access to the expansion after completing one of the two first narrative arcs available in England (Grantebridgescire or Ledecestrescire), which unlock just after they arrive from Norway. When in Ravensthorpe, Eivor will stumble upon visitors from Francia offering suspiciously generous presents and will then find their way to Francia. The suggested power level for Francia is 200, but there is no mandatory power level to play The Siege of Paris.
Sega announced today that beloved duo Sonic the Hedgehog and Miles “Tails” Prower are rolling into Super Monkey Ball Banana Mania as playable characters. The Blue Blur and his two-tailed sidekick will be free and unlockable through normal gameplay on all platforms on October 5th.
Devolver Digital today announced that the endless adventure Loop Hero is making its way to Nintendo Switch later this year.
During a new Indie World presentation, Nintendo highlighted a wide selection of games coming to the Nintendo Switch, all brought to life by a variety of independent publishing and development partners from around the world. The presentation included seven games that will launch later today, including Axiom Verge 2, as well as other highlights, like the announcement that Eastward will arrive as a timed exclusive on September 16th with digital pre-orders beginning today in Nintendo eShop and on Nintendo.com.
Other games featured in the showcase include Bomb Rush Cyberfunk, a graffiti-action-adventure from Team Reptile; Loop Hero, an innovative card-based RPG from Four Quarters and Devolver Digital; Metal Slug Tactics, a fresh new take on the Metal Slug franchise from Leikir Studios and Dotemu; Tetris Effect: Connected, the classic game with a competitive and cooperative twist from Enhance, Monstars Inc., Resonair and Stage Games; Necrobarista: Final Pour, an anime-style visual novel about coffee and death from Route 59 and Coconut Island Games; and Shovel Knight: Pocket Dungeon, an action puzzle-adventure mashup from Vine and Yacht Club Games.

United Label Games has released a new gameplay trailer for its upcoming RPG adventure, Tails of Iron, revealing the souls-like combat that awaits potential saviours of the realm. The latest preview showcases the range of skills on offer, including dodge rolls, parry bashes, ranged attacks, and the executions. Players will soon be able to partake in the conflict between rat and frog, when Tails of Iron arrives on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch and PC on September 17th.
