Bandai Namco invites players to return to the stage of history as Soulcalibur VI launches today for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC via Steam. The 3D weapons-based 1 vs. 1 fighting game includes the return of fan-favorite characters and the premiere of all-new gameplay mechanics. Soulcalibur VI also continues the Soulcalibur tradition of featuring iconic guest characters; this time by featuring Geralt of Rivia as its special guest character.
Bandai Namco today announced that Dark Souls: Remastered is now available for the Nintendo Switch. Dark Souls: Remastered includes updated visuals and inclusion of the Artorias of the Abyss expansion bundled with the main game.
Also available today is Dark Souls Trilogy, a compilation of all three Dark Souls titles for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One for a MSRP of $79.99. Dark Souls Trilogy includes Dark Souls: Remastered, Dark Souls II: Scholar of the First Sin, and Dark Souls III: The Fire Fades Edition packaged in an exclusive SteelBook case. Each title includes all DLC add-ons.
Battlefleet Gothic: Armada 2, the space RTS based on the tabletop game set in the Warhammer 40,000 universe, will run two pre-order beta phases ahead of its release on January 24th next year. The betas will feature a selection of content, including all of the 12 factions, the introduction of two of the three narrative campaigns, and much more. Players who pre-order between now and release will receive access to both betas.
The first beta will take place in early December and is focused on multiplayer and balance. All 12 factions, the full multiplayer progression system, custom games, plus 2v2, 1v1, and versus AI will be available to everyone who pre-orders before or during this week-long event.
Beta 2 will begin in January and run up to the launch of the game on the 24th. This will include all the content from Beta 1, including patches and improvements developed during the downtime, plus hours of single-player campaign content. Included will be the Campaign Prologue – acting as a tutorial and story set up – as well as the first sectors of two campaigns. It will give a preview of the ship-building, empire-conquering, narrative-driven offerings of Armada 2 and will be just a taste of the full game.

CD Projekt Red have released a brand new, gameplay-focused trailer for Thronebreaker: The Witcher Tales — the upcoming RPG adventure set in the universe of professional monster slayer Geralt of Rivia.
The trailer showcases exploration of The Witcher world, the game’s choice-driven narrative, and teases new locations and characters. The video also features a closer look at the mechanics of managing your army and upgrading the battle camp, as well as the story-driven battles players participate in.
Thronebreaker: The Witcher Tales releases on October 23rd on PC via GOG.com. A console release for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One will follow on December 4th.
Activision’s Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 has sold more than $500 million in sell-through worldwide in its first three days of release as the total number of players climbed from last year. Through its first three days of release, Black Ops 4 set a new Call of Duty franchise record for most combined players, average hours per player and total number of hours played, on current generation consoles. The combined number of Black Ops 4 players across its three modes of play during those first three days tops both last year’s Call of Duty: WWII, as well as Call of Duty: Black Ops 3, respectively, for the same period of time.
The first Call of Duty release on Blizzard Battle.net, Black Ops 4 on PC continues to be significantly above last year, as the number of players is more than double year over year through its first three days.
Rockstar Games debuts the Official Launch Trailer for Red Dead Redemption 2. A tale of life in America at the dawn of the modern age, Red Dead Redemption 2 arrives for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on October 26th.
Team17, in partnership with Fireproof Games, has announced that mystery-puzzle game The Room is out now on Nintendo Switch. Previously released on PC, The Room has been re-built and remastered for Nintendo Switch. It is available on the Nintendo eShop for $9.99 with a 10% discount for the week of launch.
Paradox Interactive has announced that Stellaris: Console Edition, the console adaptation of the sci-fi grand strategy game Stellaris, will be launching in Q1 of 2019 for Xbox One and PlayStation 4.
