Update 1.12 has begun to roll out for Call of Duty: Black Ops 4, bringing an assortment of changes and new modes to play. A few things to look for:
Multiplayer brings new gameplay improvements and featured playlists including Blackjack’s Gun Game.
For Blackout, Treyarch has incorporated a new round of tuning changes focusing on armor, concussion grenades and cluster grenades. They’re also debuting Ambush on PS4, their newest limited-time mode where players only have sniper riffles, melee attacks and launchers at their disposal in a circle that never stops collapsing once it starts. Down But Not Out continues its second week on other platforms and will be replaced by Ambush next week.
For Zombies, classic and loot weapons arrive in the mystery box in all Zombies maps. Gameplay improvements, fixes and stability updates have been made across the board.
PlayFusion and Games Workshop have forged an alliance to bring the trading card game, Warhammer Age of Sigmar: Champions to PC via Steam in February and Nintendo Switch later in Q1 2019.
Square Enix and Disney today announced that Kingdom Hearts III, the latest installment in the action role-playing game series, is now available on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
Team17 and indie developer Radiation Blue today released the sci-fi, roguelike Genesis Alpha One on Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC for $29.99 USD.
Epic Games and Deep Silver today announced a partnership that will see the digitally-distributed PC version of Metro Exodus release on February 15th solely through the Epic Games store. Any customer with an outstanding pre-order for Metro Exodus on PC through any digital retailer will receive their game as expected. In addition, Deep Silver will release Metro 2033 Redux and Metro: Last Light Redux to the Epic Games store later this year.
Today, Electronic Arts released the official Madden NFL 19 Super Bowl LIII simulation, predicting a big win for the Los Angeles Rams as they walk away Super Bowl Champions and defeat the New England Patriots 30–27. Aaron Donald received the MVP award following a record-breaking Super Bowl performance in which he tallied four sacks.
Bandai Namco today announced Dragon Ball Game – Project Z (working title) for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC via Steam. This new Action RPG is slated for a 2019 launch and will take players on the most dramatic telling of the Dragon Ball Z story, experienced through the eyes of Kakarot, the Saiyan better known as Goku.
Bandai Namco has released a new Jump Force trailer highlighting newly announced characters from the Naruto universe and Dragon Quest: The Adventures of Dai. Jump Force will be available for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC via Steam on February 15th.
Bandai Namco is bringing six more characters into the fight with the Dragon Ball FighterZ – FighterZ Pass 2. Kicking things off in the new FighterZ Pass 2 will be the arrival of Jiren and Videl on January 31st. Dragon Ball Broly and SSGSS Gogeta are also on their way; more news will be shared soon about their impending arrival.
Each character in FighterZ Pass 2 can be purchased separately for $4.99 USD or all six characters can be purchased for $24.99 USD.
Today players can officially get their first taste of Anthem, as the VIP Demo is now available for Freelancers who pre-ordered the game, as well as EA Access and Origin Access Subscribers, through January 27th. Anthem launches on February 22nd on all platforms, and Origin Access Premier subscribers will be able to play the full game early, starting on February 15th. VIP demo players will also get access to three demo codes to share with friends.
Demo players will start out at level 10, with level-appropriate gear and weapons for their Ranger javelin. Freelancers will have the opportunity to explore Ft. Tarsis, begin meeting some of the game’s most important characters, delve the story and pick up missions to complete out in the field. Players will have the chance to battle their way through select story missions either solo or with others, as well as explore the environment in search of materials, lore and secrets in Freeplay. Those looking for an additional challenge in the demo can link up with three other Freelancers and unleash their combined power on a dangerous stronghold, one piece of the full game’s most intense, yet rewarding, content.
Those who miss out on this weekend’s fun will still get their chance to see the world of Anthem firsthand, as the Open Demo will launch on February 1st on Origin for PC, Xbox One and PlayStation 4.
