NBA 2K Partners with SpringHill Entertainment on NBA 2K20’s MyCareer Mode

Today, 2K shared details of their partnership with SpringHill Entertainment – the content company created by LeBron James and Maverick Carter – which includes the production and creative control of NBA 2K20’s MyCareer cinematic narrative: “When The Lights Are Brightest.” Known for such productions as What’s My Name: Muhammad Ali, More Than a Game and The Wall, SpringHill Entertainment collaborated with the Visual Concepts team to write, direct, and cast this year’s storyline.

NBA 2K20 will be available beginning September 6th.

New Showcase Reveals Next Slate of Indie Games Coming to Nintendo Switch

In a new-look Indie World presentation livestreamed today, Nintendo highlighted a selection of independent games that are coming to the Nintendo Switch soon.

The first-person shooter SUPERHOT and Hotline Miami Collection, which features both games from the Hotline Miami series, are available to purchase on Nintendo eShop today. The online multiplayer roguelike Risk of Rain 2, from Gearbox Publishing, was revealed as coming to Nintendo Switch this summer, while strategy- and mythology-inspired Northguard from Shiro Games, and pinball-inspired dungeon crawler Creature in the Well from Flight School Studio, are available today for pre-purchase. Furthermore, the critically-acclaimed action-platformer Ori and the Blind Forest will be coming to Nintendo Switch on September 27th as Ori and the Blind Forest: Definitive Edition.

Journey to the Savage Planet Launching January 28th

505 Games and Typhoon Studios will launch the humorous sci-fi exploration and adventure game Journey to the Savage Planet digitally and at physical retail on January 28th, 2020.

In a new trailer unveiled today at Gamescom in Cologne, Germany, viewers are treated to a look at more of Journey to the Savage Planet’s alien world, including the dangerous Jellywaft Islands, the murky Swamp Gully and a towering Fungal Forest, among other environments.

Streets of Rage 4 Platforms and New Character Revealed

Publisher and co-developer Dotemu, with co-developers Lizardcube and Guard Crush Games, today announced that Streets of Rage 4 will make its way on to PC, Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch. A brand new gameplay trailer released today also introduced the latest character to join Blaze Fielding and Axel Stone: a guitar-playing warrior named Cherry Hunter.
