Sid Meier’s Civilization VI Reveals New Frontier Pass

2K today announced the Sid Meier’s Civilization VI – New Frontier Pass, a new season pass that brings eight new civilizations, nine new leaders, six new game modes and more to the strategy game. Content will be released in six downloadable (DLC) packs delivered on a bimonthly basis starting May 21st, 2020 through March 2021.

The Civilization VI – New Frontier Pass will be available for $39.99 on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch and PC. Each individual DLC pack will also be available for individual purchase; the first DLC offering, the Maya & Gran Colombia Pack, will add leaders from each respective civilization, a new Apocalypse game mode, new City-States, Resources and Natural Wonders, and will launch on May 21st
.
Anyone who purchases the Civilization VI – New Frontier Pass will receive exclusive bonuses – the Teddy Roosevelt and Catherine De Medici Persona Packs. Each Persona Pack contains a brand-new take on a favorite leader, with a new leader model and background, new gameplay bonuses and an updated agenda that reflects the changes to the leader’s personality. “Rough Rider Teddy” excels at keeping the peace on his home continent, while “Magnificence Catherine” can use Luxuries to overwhelm the world with Culture and Tourism. The Persona Packs will be available with the second DLC Pack in July.

As part of the overall content roadmap for Civilization VI, Firaxis will also provide free updates in between DLC packs that feature new maps, scenarios, balance updates and more, available for anyone who owns the game.

The Guerilla Collective, a New Video Game Event Airing June 6-8 on Twitch

A worldwide coalition of leading independent game companies and partners have announced the Guerrilla Collective, a group of publishers and developers dedicated to bringing the experience of news and reveals home to viewers globally.

The three-day celebration kicks off on June 6th, in collaboration with publishers, developers, and media, with a full day dedicated to gaming news and announcements: the premiere Guerrilla Collective, The PC Gaming Show and the Future Games Show.

The June 6th lineup is today announced as a packed day of the latest news for every platform. At 1pm ET / 10am PT, the world’s first Guerrilla Collective Live will air, hosted by Kinda Funny’s Greg Miller. The PC Gaming Show returns starting at 3pm ET / 12pm PT with all the latest news and information about the PC gaming space. The Future Games Show presents reveals, developer interviews, and gaming chatter starting at 5:30pm ET / 2:30pm PT.

Madden NFL 21 Coming to Xbox Series X

During this week’s episode of Inside Xbox, Super Bowl MVP and Madden NFL 20 cover athlete Patrick Mahomes unveiled that Madden NFL 21 is coming to Xbox Series X when the next generation console launches. EA Sports and Microsoft also announced a program for players who purchase Madden NFL 21 on Xbox One to upgrade to Xbox Series X at no additional cost, ensuring that players will not have to purchase Madden NFL 21 twice. To receive the offer, players must purchase Madden NFL 21 on Xbox One by December 31st, 2020 and upgrade to Xbox Series X by March 31st, 2021.

Scarlet Nexus, New RPG from Bandai Namco Announced

Bandai Namco today announced Scarlet Nexus, a new RPG franchise developed by Bandai Namco Studios and led by former members of Bandai Namco’s ‘Tales of’ series. Announced for the Xbox Series X, Xbox One, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, and PC via Steam, take on the role of Yuito Sumeragi, armed with a talent in psycho-kinesis, and explore the futuristic city of New Himuka and uncover the mysteries of a Brain Punk future caught between technology and physic abilities.

In the far distant future, a psionic hormone has been discovered in the human brain, granting people extra-sensory powers and changing the world as we know it. As humanity enters this new era, deranged mutants known as Others begin to descend from the sky with a hunger for human brains. Impervious to conventional weapons, those with acute extra-sensory abilities, known as psychics, are our only chance to fight the onslaught from above and preserve humanity. Since that fateful day psychics have been scouted for their talents and recruited to the Other Suppression Force, humanity’s last line of defense.

First Look at Next-Gen Games for Xbox Series X

Today, on Inside Xbox, fans were offered a first look at next-generation games coming to Xbox Series X with gameplay, trailers and teasers from a variety of partners from around the world and across the industry.

The next-gen games showcased by partners provided a first look at the type of experiences players can expect from Xbox Series X when it arrives Holiday 2020, including features like 4K resolution at up to 120 frames per second, hardware-accelerated DirectX Raytracing, super-fast load times and much more. Not only that, but many of the titles showcased today will leverage Smart Delivery, the new technology that makes game ownership across generations easy and simple for players.

Yakuza: Like a Dragon Launches Day 1 on Xbox Series X

Just announced on Inside Xbox, Yakuza: Like a Dragon, a new entry point in the Yakuza series, will be releasing as a launch title on the Xbox Series X. Yakuza: Like a Dragon will also be available as simultaneous release on the Xbox One, Windows 10 PC, PlayStation 4, and Steam. Yakuza: Like a Dragon Day One Edition physical pre-orders are available now at select retailers. Details on the Day One Edition will be revealed at a later date.

Sega also announced that Yakuza: Like a Dragon will support Xbox Series X Smart Delivery immediately on release, ensuring players only have to buy the game once and will be able to play it on either Xbox One or Xbox Series X when both the console and that version of the game are available. Cross-save functionality between Xbox One and Xbox Series X is also supported, so no matter when players decide to upgrade, they never have to start over from rock bottom.

Horror Game ‘Scorn’ Announced as Xbox Series X Exclusive

Following today’s Xbox 20/20 online showcase, indie studio Ebb Software announced that its forthcoming first-person horror adventure Scorn will be exclusive to Xbox Series X at game launch. Scorn was presented as part of the forthcoming line up for Xbox Series X with the exclusive reveal of a brand new trailer. The game is planned for release during the Xbox Series X launch period.
