Today, EA Sports UFC 4 has revealed the official gameplay trailer, showcasing an in-depth look at the newly polished features and gameplay techniques. Players will find an overhauled and more intuitive clinch game, updates to ground and pound’s defensive and offensive positions, dynamic striking inputs and a new submission system.
UFC 4 will be available on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on August 14th.
EA and BioWare have announced that Star Wars: The Old Republic, the Star Wars MMORPG, is now available to download for free on Steam. Beginning today, players can begin or continue their own story-driven Star Wars saga playing as many iconic character classes and choosing their path down the Light or Dark side of the Force. Star Wars: The Old Republic on Steam has full crossplay and cross-save with the direct SWTOR launcher, so all progress will carry over when player’s log in via either method.
Team17 today announced a partnership with Tencent Games’ NExT Studios that will see its adventure RPG roguelike, Crown Trick, on Nintendo Switch and PC in Q3 2020. Set in a procedurally generated maze-like dungeon, Crown Trick is steeped in strategic, synchronous, turn-based gameplay where enemy decisions and actions are only revealed when players make their moves, and features hundreds of weapons, skills, and items on hand to customise and evolve the combat style as the quest progresses.
Indie publisher Modus Games and developers ACE Team and Giant Monkey Robot today released their tower defense-style strategy and action game, Rock of Ages 3: Make & Break on PC, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One. The Stadia version will release on August 14th and will be free for Stadia Pro subscribers.
Devolver Digital today released an extended gameplay look at Shadow Warrior 3, with a full “Way to Motoko” playthrough. The 17-minute gameplay clip gives fans a longer look at the title, along with a preview of some of the combat abilities and enemies that they’ll encounter in-game.
Team17 and Ghost Town Games today announced that Overcooked! All You Can Eat is in development for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X with a release planned for later this year.
Overcooked!, Overcooked! 2, and every morsel of additional content released for both games are being blended together and remastered from the ground up in Overcooked! All You Can Eat. This definitive edition will include over 200 levels of culinary chaos, seven new levels, three new chefs, 60 frames per second gameplay with 4K resolution, and faster loading times. Content from Overcooked! has been rebuilt in the Overcooked! 2 engine, enabling levels from the original game to be played online for the very first time; Overcooked! All You Can Eat will also feature additional support for cross-platform multiplayer functionality.
Today, Nintendo debuted a Nintendo Direct Mini: Partner Showcase, a video presentation focused on Nintendo Switch games from Nintendo’s development and publishing partners. The video is the first in a series of upcoming Partner Showcase presentations that will be released this year.
Highlights of the debut showcase include details about two new games in the Shin Megami Tensei RPG series – a high-definition remake of Shin Megami Tensei III, a classic in the series, coming Spring 2021, and a new game in the main numbered series, Shin Megami Tensei V, which will launch on Nintendo Switch in 2021.
The Nintendo Direct Mini: Partner Showcase also revealed three paid DLC packs for Cadence of Hyrule – Crypt of the NecroDancer Featuring The Legend of Zelda, adding new characters, modes and maps. Additionally, the video showed off gameplay for two upcoming Nintendo Switch games, Rogue Company and WWE 2K Battlegrounds.
This morning, Head of Xbox Phil Spencer published a blog announcing that in September, Xbox Game Pass Ultimate will include access to cloud gaming at no additional cost. Xbox Game Pass Ultimate members will be able to play more than 100 Xbox Game Pass titles on their mobile device from the cloud as part of their membership.

Perfect World Entertainment and Gunfire Games today announced that Subject 2923, the final and most expansive DLC for Remnant: From the Ashes will be available on PC, Xbox One and PlayStation 4 on August 20th for $9.99 USD. The final DLC for the survival action game will introduce the mysterious abandoned military base, “Ward Prime” — one of the DLC’s two unique zones. The DLC will also bring a new campaign mode “Subject 2923”, that concludes Remnant: From the Ashes’ post-apocalyptic story, and adds all-new quests, bosses, weapons, trinkets, armor sets and more.
In addition, Remnant: From the Ashes – Complete Edition, which will include the Remnant: From the Ashes base game, the first premium DLC Swamps of Corsus and the upcoming premium DLC Subject 2923, will also launch digitally on August 20th on PC and consoles for $49.99.
