Horror-Inspired Tactical RPG ‘Othercide’ Out Now

Othercide, the horror-inspired tactical RPG from Lightbulb Crew and Focus Home Interactive, is available now on PC, Xbox One, and PlayStation 4. Steam users can also purchase an exclusive bundle featuring the base game, its original soundtrack and a digital artbook at a special discount. Othercide is expected to launch on Nintendo Switch later this summer.

Rocket Arena Season 1 Blasting Off Tomorrow, July 28th

EA and Final Strike Games will be launching Season 1 of Rocket Arena tomorrow, with all new free content and updates for players across PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC via Steam and Origin.

Rocket Arena’s first season will introduce a new character, maps, events, challenges and more:

  • New Character: Flux is a child prodigy ranked at the top of her class at Propulsion Prep, Crater’s boarding school for geniuses. She’s excitable and effusive, focusing on gathering data and using it to her advantage.
  • New Maps: Explore the Lagoon of Doom, home to bottomless waterfalls and an endless amount of fog, check out wrecked pirate ships with hidden treasure in Grand Harbor or traverse through some of the ricketiest tracks in Crater in Kayo Kanyon.
  • Mythic Events: Season 1 will feature two Mythic Events, with each introducing a new Mythic Outfit, a skyline totem symbol, new playlists and fun background details on Heroes and locales.
  • Blast in Paradise Limited-Time Event: Starting August 12, all players can expect themed challenges, six new playlists, tropical cosmetics, unique earnable unlocks and new modes, along with two new maps that will be permanently added to the game.
  • Lore Discord Channel: Join the conversation here to discover a slew of secrets about the world of Crater — concept art, lore, hidden rockets and more, with a chance to get a sneak peek at future content.

Japan Fighting Game Publisher Roundtable Broadcasting Live on July 31st

NBA 2K21 Partners with UnitedMasters for In-Game Soundtrack

2K announced that NBA 2K21 is unveiling its brand-new in-game soundtrack, featuring two new unreleased tracks from NBA 2K21 cover athlete Damian ‘Dame D.O.L.L.A.’ Lillard, and songs from today’s top artists such as Stormzy, Roddy Ricch and The Strokes.

The current-gen version of NBA 2K21 will launch with 52 songs on September 4th, including two Dame D.O.L.L.A. tracks exclusively debuting in the game; fans can experience the soundtrack beginning today on Spotify. The next-gen version of NBA 2K21 will add additional songs and will feature 202 tracks at launch. After launch, the next-gen soundtrack will then be updated with new songs spanning across hip-hop, R&B, electronic, pop and rock.

Xbox Showcases Upcoming Games Led by Halo Infinite

Just months from the launch of Xbox Series X, today’s Xbox Games Showcase debuted a diverse games lineup for Microsoft’s console, led by Halo Infinite – and all in Xbox Game Pass day one. Halo Infinite is the biggest and most ambitious Halo ever, and today Xbox provided the first glimpse of the campaign gameplay, giving you a taste of what to expect this holiday season. From expansive new worlds in Fable, Avowed, and Everwild to unprecedented realism with Forza Motorsport, Microsoft took fans back to some familiar universes and introduced a few you’ve yet to traverse.

Partner support for Xbox was on full display with world premieres of S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2, Warhammer 40,000: Darktide, Phantasy Star Online 2: New Genesis, and much more all launching exclusively on Xbox consoles. Microsoft also announced a partnership between Xbox and Bungie, bringing Destiny 2 to Xbox Game Pass this fall with access to previous expansions and the upcoming Destiny 2: Beyond Light, at no additional cost. Bungie is also releasing Destiny 2 Optimized for Xbox Series X with 4K resolution running at 60 frames per second.

Bungie is one of many developers bringing their titles to Xbox Game Pass. In fact, Xbox Game Pass members will be able to play every game in the Xbox Games Showcase, as part of their membership or free-to-play, when they launch.

Square Enix Announces New 3D Action Platformer, Balan Wonderworld

Square Enix today announced Balan Wonderworld, an all-new action-platformer from the creators of Sonic the Hedgehog. The family-friendly platformer will jump on to current and next gen consoles and PC in the Spring of 2021.

Entering a whimsical and bizarre land through a mysterious theatre, players will take on the role of Leo and Emma as they embark on an adventure like no other. Led by an enigmatic maestro named Balan, they must navigate through Wonderworld to restore happiness and balance the hearts and minds of all they encounter here.

Players will discover over 80 costumes along their journey through a variety of unique environments within Wonderworld. The costumes change Leo’s and Emma’s appearances, granting them a wide array of fantastical powers to overcome obstacles that lay in their path and discover new ways to play. New Dual-Reality Trailer Revealed for The Medium

Today, straight from the Xbox Series X game showcase event, Bloober Team showcased a brand-new trailer for The Medium, the third-person psychological horror game, featuring the unique dual-reality gameplay within its eerie setting for the first time.

In the new dual-reality trailer of The Medium, players can explore both the physical and spirit world realities displayed at the same time in the body of Marianne, a medium hounded by visions, living and interacting, across two worlds: the real and the spirit world. Throughout the trailer, Marianne’s movement through both worlds is controlled by a single analogue stick, while using different interactions between each of the worlds to solve puzzles and explore various paths. Viewers can also catch a glimpse of how Marianne in the Spirit World has different abilities than the real-world Marianne, including an ability called Out of Body.

The Medium launches on Xbox Series X and PC in the 2020 Holiday season.

Fatshark Announces Warhammer 40,000: Darktide

Today, indie developer Fatshark announced their third game within the Warhammer universe, Warhammer 40,000: Darktide, a four player co-op experience coming to PC and Xbox Series X in 2021.

Go deep into the hive city and face hordes of enemies you have only seen in your nightmares. Players will not be able to hide behind lethal ranged weapons, they’ll need to combine both FPS and melee skills as they get up close and personal in visceral clashes between Imperium and Chaos factions.
