Borderlands 3 ‘Free Play’ Weekend Starts Now

2K has announced that Borderlands 3 is free to play on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, Stadia, and Steam this weekend.

Xbox One Free Play
Starts: August 6th, 12am PT / 3am ET
Ends: August 9th, 11:59pm PT / August 10th, 2:59am ET

PlayStation 4 Free Play (PlayStation Plus Required)
Starts: August 6th, 9am PT / 12pm ET
Ends: August 9th, 9am PT / 12pm ET

Steam Free Play
Starts: August 6th, 8am PT / 11am ET
Ends: August 12th, 11am PT / 1pm ET

Stadia Free Play
Strats: August 6th, 9am PT / 12pm ET
Ends: August 10th, 9am PT / 12pm ET

To play Borderlands 3 for free on your platform of choice, you’ll need to search for the Standard edition of Borderlands 3 on your platform’s online store, rather than the Deluxe and Super Deluxe editions of the game. PlayStation 4 users will need an active PlayStation Plus subscription to participate.

EA Sports UFC 4 Top 10 Fighter Ratings Revealed

For the first time in EA Sports UFC history, a woman fighter has earned the no. 1 overall rating in the game. Amanda “Lioness” Nunes, the most dominant fighter in the sport, comes in at a deserving no. 1 due to her well-rounded skill set as a fighter and excellent striking. Both Valentina Scevchenko and Weili Zhang also grace the top seven, coming in at no. 4 and no. 7 respectfully, bringing the total to three women in the top 10.

Today, Bandai Namco announced that The Dark Pictures Anthology: Man of Medan is now available for subscribers of Xbox Game Pass on Xbox One, and will also be available on Xbox Game Pass for PC later this year.

DOOM Eternal and The Elder Scrolls Online are Coming to Xbox Series X and PlayStation 5

The Elder Scrolls Online and DOOM Eternal are coming to Xbox Series X and PlayStation 5. Players who own or purchase either title on Xbox One or PlayStation 4 will be able to upgrade for free to the Xbox Series X and PlayStation 5 versions, respectively, when those versions are available. Additionally, Bethesda is working hard to ensure both titles will support backwards compatibility when the new consoles launch.

More information will be available in the coming weeks and months about The Elder Scrolls Online and DOOM Eternal on Xbox Series X and PlayStation 5 including expected release windows and a list of enhancements. And while Bethesda doesn’t have any news to share just yet on their remaining catalogue of titles, they confirmed they are committed to offer free upgrades for current generation console owners of existing Bethesda titles they bring forward into the next generation of consoles.

2K today debuted a brand-new gameplay trailer for NBA 2K21 on current-gen consoles, featuring clips of many of the league’s brightest stars executing buzzer beaters, high-flying dunks, blocks and more. NBA 2K21 is set to launch on current-gen consoles on September 4th.

New Characters, Stages and More Hitting Street Fighter V: Champion Edition

As part of today’s “Street Fighter V Summer Update” web direct presentation, Capcom revealed new details on the characters, stages and other content coming to the fifth and final season of Street Fighter V: Champion Edition. Announced by the Street Fighter V development team, Dan, Rose, Oro, Akira and one yet-to-be revealed character will be joining the roster. These newly-confirmed characters are currently in production, so additional details and in-progress images and gameplay footage will be shared in the months ahead as these new characters take form.

In addition to these five new characters coming to Street Fighter V: Champion Edition, over 30 new costumes and four new stages are also being planned, including a Rose stage (Spring 2021), Akira stage (Summer 2021) and two new Capcom Pro Tour stages arriving in Winter 2020 and Fall 2021. A new battle mechanic and new battle balance adjustments will be available in Winter 2020 as free updates to all players, adding even more gameplay enhancements and depth to the game’s combat system.

Nintendo today announced that Pikmin 3 Deluxe is headed to the Nintendo Switch on October 30th. Pikmin 3 originally launched on Wii U, and it’s now making the leap to Switch with new content, more options for cooperative play and a range of settings that make it easy for newcomers to jump in.
