Ubisoft today announced a partnership with writer Nathan Edmondson and artist Marc Laming to create a graphic novel based on Tom Clancy’s Splinter Cell franchise.
Set for release in 2013, the Splinter Cell Echoes graphic novel takes place between the events of Splinter Cell Conviction and Splinter Cell Blacklist. The story bridges the gap between the two games with an original story that sets the tone for the opening events in Splinter Cell Blacklist.

Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment has released a new Battle Profile gameplay video for Guardians of Middle-earth, revealing two new characters, Beregond, the twentieth Ruling Steward of Gondor, who is a skillful warrior and tough damage dealer and Felgrom, a powerful and deranged goblin whose scorching abilities are enormously powerful and deadly. Guardians of Middle-earth will be available this December for Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3.
Microsoft and 343 Industries today announced Hollywood director David Fincher (“Fight Club,” “The Social Network,” “The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo”) as executive producer and visual effects lead Tim Miller (“Scott Pilgrim vs. the World,” “The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo”) as the director of the launch trailer for Halo 4.
The extended two-minute trailer will make its world premiere during the October 18th episode of “Late Night with Jimmy Fallon” before the launch of Halo 4 on November 6th. It will be available simultaneously on Halo Waypoint.
Titled “Scanned,” the trailer is a cinematic production that offers a look at the backstory of Master Chief, and provides a glimpse of the new threat he will encounter in Halo 4.
