Independent studio Full Control today announced that in association with Games Workshop it will be bringing the Space Hulk IP to digital platforms in 2013. Based on the board game and set in the Warhammer 40,000 universe, Space Hulk is a 3D turn-based strategy game that recreates the board game experience for single player and multiplayer cross-platform play between PC, Mac and on iOS.
Space Hulk is set in the isolated corridors and tomb-like chambers of an ancient vessel lost in the graveyard of space. Players lead a small army of fearless Space Marine Terminators to battle in a fight for survival against hordes of predatory alien Genestealers. Based on the “Sin of Damnation” campaign from the 3rd edition board game, Space Hulk includes a 12-mission single-player and co-operative campaign. Recreating the battles of the board game, multiplayer mode will allow players to go head-to-head as one player controls the Space Marines and their opponent the Genestealers. Cross platform functionality in multiplayer mode allows players to compete against friends whether they play on PC, Mac or mobile. The Space Hulk level editor will enable players to design their own levels, share them with others online and in a central hub explore creations of the community.
Rising Star Games today announced that it has released a new demo for Carrier Command: Gaea Mission on the Xbox 360. By leading two demo-exclusive assaults on the islands of Thermopylae and Granite, players can now experience the blend of action and strategy firsthand. In addition, Carrier Command: Gaea Mission will also be getting a permanent price drop to $39.99.
FuturLab, developers of the PlayStation minis title Velocity, has signed a deal with Sony Computer Entertainment that sees Sony provide funds for the development of content for PlayStation Vita in 2013.
1C Company today announced that it has partnered with developer 777 Studios to form a new studio named 1C Game Studios. This new studio is set to create IL-2 Sturmovik: Battle of Stalingrad, a new sequel to the WWII combat flight simulator IL-2 Sturmovik.
Battle of Stalingrad will include both single- and multi-player scenarios as well as new gameplay modes. Release is slated for early 2014 with add-on content and additional features and theaters to follow.
Konami has released an all-new trailer for Castlevania: Lords of Shadow 2.
In the new trailer, Dracula (voiced by Robert Carlyle) wakes up after centuries of sleep, old and withered. He slowly begins to recollect his past and we then see him at the height of his powers long ago. As Dracula’s castle is being besieged, fans are exposed to various enemies he will face, in addition to an all new weapon – the void sword.
The trailer also finally confirms that the game will pick up from the epilogue of the first title in the Lords of Shadow saga. This will be a game that spans centuries with much of it taking place in the present day.
Castlevania: Lords of Shadow 2 will be available for the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and PC in 2013.

Ubisoft has released a trailer for Assassin’s Creed III’s Tyranny of King Washington – a three-part DLC series exploring an alternate reality in which George Washington goes mad with unlimited power, foregoing Presidency to rule as tyrannical King. In this alternate world, Connor is and remains Ratonhnhaké:ton. Having never become an Assassin, he must endure new trials, acquiring the skills he’ll need to take down a possessed Washington and win freedom for his land once and for all.
Daedalic Entertainment today announced Goodbye Deponia will be the Deponia trilogy’s closing chapter. Goodbye Deponia will be available for PC in Fall 2013.

Available exclusively at GameStop, fans who purchase the game for Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and Wii U will receive a limited edition diecast “Danicar” free.
