The King of Fighters XV Releases Today

SNK and Koch Media today announced that The King of Fighters XV is out now on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S and PC.

The King of Fighters XV features 39 characters in total, including classic characters and resurrected fan favourites. In addition to the classic 3-on-3 team battle system, the game introduces the Shatter STrike, a new mechanic that enables players to counter enemy attacks. Additionally, players can experience an improved MAX Mode, as well as MAX Mode (Quick). The RUSH function allows for combos to be carried out all by rapidly pressing attack buttons. All these features, including revamped special moves, will ensure fights in this game feel more explosive than ever.

Assassin’s Creed: The Ezio Collection Now Available on Nintendo Switch

Today, Ubisoft announced that Assassin’s Creed: The Ezio Collection is now available across retailers exclusively for Nintendo Switch. The Ezio Collection includes Assassin’s Creed II, Assassin’s Creed Brotherhood, Assassin’s Creed Revelation and two short films, Assassin’s Creed Lineage and Assassin’s Creed Embers.

Total War: Warhammer III is Out Now

Sega and The Creative Assembly today announced the launch of Total War: Warhammer III for PC. Warhammer III plunges players into a power struggle between mortals and daemons with each aiming to save or exploit the power of a dying god. Featuring seven playable races – including the video-game debuts of Grand Cathay and Kislev – alongside new features such as the Realm of Chaos campaign, eight-player multiplayer, and the customisable RPG-like Daemon Prince Legendary Lord.

Nintendo Launches the My Nintendo Store

If you head to Nintendo.com starting today in North America, you might notice a new tab at the top. This is the My Nintendo Store, a new online shopping destination where you can shop for all your physical and digital games, hardware, merchandise, exclusive products and more.

The My Nintendo Store features exclusive products and officially licensed merchandise from Nintendo and its partners, with orders $50 and over (not including tax) coming with free standard shipping. Digital versions of games can also be purchased at the store and downloaded directly to your Nintendo Switch system.

Digital game purchases in the My Nintendo Store are tied to your Nintendo Account, so members of the free My Nintendo rewards program will automatically earn 5% in My Nintendo Gold Points on eligible digital purchases. Those points can then be used toward future eligible digital games or DLC, making the process to redeem My Nintendo Gold points even more convenient.

2K today unveiled the WWE 2K22 MyGM trailer and Ringside Report #2, the second entry in an ongoing video series offering deep dives into the game’s features, mechanics, and more. Sega and Paramount Pictures Announce Third Sonic the Hedgehog Film, New Live-Action Series on Paramount+

Paramount Pictures and Sega today announced that they have commenced development on a third feature film installment to the Sonic the Hedgehog franchise. Additionally, Sega and Paramount+ are developing the first-ever original live-action Sonic series, to launch in 2023. The Paramount+ series will feature the character Knuckles, voiced by Idris Elba.

Cyberpunk 2077 Now Updated for Next Generation Consoles, Free Trial Available

CD Projekt Red announced today that Cyberpunk 2077 has just received its latest free update, introducing players to the next-gen Xbox Series X|S and PlayStation 5 version of the game, and further improving the original platform releases.

With Patch 1.5 — Next-Generation Update, Cyberpunk 2077 takes advantage of the additional power of the newest generation of console hardware, allowing for ray tracing features and 4K with dynamic scaling on Xbox Series X and PlayStation 5, faster loading times, and a variety of other visual and technical improvements. On PlayStation 5, the game will additionally utilize the DualSense controller’s adaptive triggers and haptic feedback functionalities.

Players wishing to try out the game before purchase can do so courtesy of a free, time-limited next-gen trial available on Xbox Series X|S and PlayStation 5. The trial will be available for 30 days, until March 15th, and will allow players the option of continuing their adventure after purchase. Similarly, those who started their walkthrough on Xbox One and PlayStation 4 will be able to transfer their saved game states to the respective next-gen version.

Call of Duty: Warzone Special Briefing, Vanguard Ranked Play Arrives February 17th

Launching on February 14th, Season Two of Call of Duty: Vanguard and Warzone will include more than 30 quality of life improvements, changes that will allow Warzone be more accessible and less frustrating for the community. Examples of this include:

  • Improvements in all forms of movement: vehicle handling, parachutes deploying at a lower vertical height, increased player mantle height, and collision fixes for both vehicles and players.
  • The Gas Mask animation no longer interrupting Operators who aim down sights.
  • When inserting Armor Plates, it refills a full plate of armor before filling damaged ones.
  • Performance and streaming issues, including Buy Station freezes, voice chat connectivity, and distorted graphics, across all platforms.
  • Specific Operator skins being invisible at certain distances.
  • Blockages to Modern Warfare Multiplayer, which is tied to Warzone’s launcher.

Additionally, the Call of Duty team shared a peek into what players can look forward to in 2022.

  • This year’s Call of Duty is a sequel to Modern Warfare 2019.
  • The new game and a new Warzone experience are designed together from the ground-up.
  • Expect an evolution of Battle Royale with all-new playspace and a new sandbox mode.
  • A new engine powers both the new Call of Duty game release and Warzone.
  • Development on both the new Call of Duty and the Warzone experience is being led by Infinity Ward.
