Capcom has released a new Lost Planet 3 trailer, marking the announcement of two multiplayer modes: Scenario Mode and Akrid Survival.
Scenario Mode sets each team with a series of either offensive or defensive challenges and mixes them up with the extreme and unpredictable conditions of E.D.N. III. Players can compete in both third-person on-foot action and in first-person combat using Vital Suits.
Akrid Survival sees two teams of three players compete independently of each other in a series of encounters against waves of hostile Akrid before the teams go head to head in a final PvP elimination round.
Lost Planet 3 will be available for Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC on August 27th.
On May 21st, Microsoft will be holding a special press event on the Xbox campus to reveal the next generation of Xbox. A live global stream will be available on Xbox.com, Xbox Live and broadcast on Spike TV in the US and Canada at 1pm EST.
Sega and The Creative Assembly have released a new trailer depicting The Battle of Teutoburg Forest, recreated in the Total War: Rome II battle engine. Narrated by Creative Assembly staff, this battle depicts the Roman Army caught in a carefully calculated assault by the massed tribesmen of Germania.
Total War: Rome II will be available for PC later this year.
Deep Silver today announced that Metro: Last Light has gone gold. The first-person shooter will be available on May 14th for the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC.
Ubisoft today announced that the soundtrack of Far Cry 3 Blood Dragon is available for pre-orders on iTunes and will release May 1st for $9.99. The soundtrack is also being offered to all PC digital pre-orders and with the PC retail version of the game.
All 25 tracks are original creations from the group Power Glove. This soundtrack is their first collaboration on a video game.
Activision and Red Fly Studio have released a new trailer for Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of the Shadows, showcasing the Turtles’ youngest, most agile member: Michelangelo. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of the Shadows will launch this summer for Xbox Live Arcade, PlayStation Network and PC.
Telltale Games today announced that Telltale Games’ Poker Night 2 is now available on Xbox Live Arcade for 800 Microsoft Points. The game will be available on Steam this Friday, April 26th, followed by April 30th on PlayStation Network for $9.99.
Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment today unveiled The Lord of the Rings Online: Helm’s Deep, the next expansion to the free-to-play MMORPG developed by Turbine. Helm’s Deep will continue the story into the western plains of Rohan, allow players to take a direct role in the battle for Helm’s Deep and advance the level cap to 95. The Lord of the Rings Online: Helm’s Deep will launch this Fall.
Rising Star Games has released the launch trailer for Deadly Premonition: The Director’s Cut, coming exclusively to PlayStation 3 on April 30th.
