PlayStation 5 Launching November 12th for $629 CAD, Pre-Orders Begin Tonight

Sony Interactive Entertainment today announced that the PlayStation 5 will launch in North America on November 12th. The PlayStation 5 with an Ultra HD Blu-ray disc will be priced at $499 USD / $629.99 CAD, and the PlayStation 5 Digital Edition will be available for $399 USD / $499.99 CAD. PlayStation 5 Canadian pre-orders will start as early as this evening, September 16th.

Sony Announces PlayStation Plus Collection

Sony Interactive Entertainment today announced the PlayStation Plus Collection, a new PlayStation 5 perk for its premium subscription service that brings a curated library of PlayStation 4 games to PS5, like Batman Arkham Knight, Bloodborne, Fallout 4, God of War, Monster Hunter: World, Persona 5 and many more. The PS Plus Collection will be an added benefit to the existing PS4 benefits that PS Plus members receive for a single subscription price.

Deathloop – Official Gameplay Trailer 2: “Two Birds One Stone”

Today at Sony’s PlayStation 5 Showcase, Bethesda Softworks revealed an extended new trailer for Deathloop, the first-person shooter from Arkane Lyon, launching Q2 2021 exclusively for console on the PlayStation 5 and PC. Capcom Announces Devil May Cry 5 Special Edition

Announced today during the September PlayStation 5 Showcase, Capcom is kicking off the new console generation in SSStyle with Devil May Cry 5 Special Edition. As the publisher’s first title on next-gen, Devil May Cry 5 Special Edition comes packed with new features and game modes powered by next-gen consoles, in addition to the heavily requested arrival of Vergil as a playable character. With Devil May Cry 5 Special Edition, Capcom is upping the ante on stylish action with the introduction of next-gen features such as ray tracing technology and enhanced 3D audio, fan-favorite modes including Turbo Mode and Legendary Dark Knight Mode, and the inclusion of Deluxe Edition and EX Color Pack content. Devil May Cry 5 Special Edition will be available for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X and S for $39.99 USD, with the digital version arriving as day one launch titles for next-gen consoles. The release timing of the physical versions will be shared at a later date.

First Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War Campaign Gameplay Revealed

This is Nowhere Left to Run, just a small part of the first level of the Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War campaign, as captured on PlayStation 5 and revealed within Sony’s PlayStation 5 Showcase event.

PlayStation 4 owners can get a taste of Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War multiplayer through an exclusive Alpha weekend, complete with multiple modes, maps, and a preview of the Create-a-Class and Scorestreak systems. Pre-load begins September 17th at 11am ET / 8am PT. The Alpha kicks off on September 18th at 1pm ET / 10am PT and is set to conclude on September 20th at 1pm ET / 10am PT.

Warner Bros. Games Announces Hogwarts Legacy

Warner Bros. Games today announced Hogwarts Legacy, an open-world, single-player, action role-playing videogame set in the 1800s wizarding world. Players will experience life as a student at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry like never before, as they live the unwritten and embark on a dangerous journey to uncover a hidden truth of the wizarding world. Developed by Avalanche and published by Warner Bros. Games under the Portkey Games label, Hogwarts Legacy will release in 2021 for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S, Xbox One, and PC.

Hogwarts Legacy is filled with magic, putting players at the center of their adventure to become the witch or wizard they choose to be. They will grow their character’s abilities as they master powerful spells, hone combat skills and select companions to help them face off against deadly enemies. Players will also encounter missions and scenarios that will pose difficult choices and determine what they stand for.
