Sony Computer Entertainment America today announced that it is seeking gaming bloggers and video creators to become official contributors to the PlayStation community blogging team. Sony is working with content crowdsourcing agency, MOFILM, to invite bloggers and video bloggers to demonstrate why they should be selected as one of the chosen few.
This contest, sponsored by MOFILM, is starting today and will end on August 12th. Five bloggers from the U.S. will be selected as winners. Winners will be announced on August 21st and will become official community members of the PlayStation blogging team, providing regular content to PlayStation’s social media channels from August 2013 through January 2014. In return, the five winners will become PlayStation 4 insiders who will be treated to special access to upcoming game titles and PlayStation developers, invited to attend industry events, and more.
To enter, contestants must create and submit a 60-second video that both demonstrates their passion for gaming and blogging and explains why they should be selected as a contributor to the PlayStation community blogging team.

UFO Interactive Games today announced that Scourge: Outbreak, its futuristic squad-based third-person shooter, is now available on Xbox Live Arcade for 800 Microsoft Points.
Activision today announced that Call of Duty: Black Ops II Vengeance, the newest DLC pack, is available now on Xbox Live for 1200 Microsoft Points, with other platforms to follow. Call of Duty: Black Ops II Vengeance delivers four new multiplayer maps and “Buried,” a new Zombies experience.
XSEED Games today announced that Killer is Dead will be available in stores nationwide on August 27th for the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. All initial launch copies of the game will come packaged with an 80-page hardcover art book, a soundtrack CD containing 25 songs, and the ‘Smooth Operator’ DLC pack containing bonus in-game goods ‘Gigolo Glasses,’ an alternate costume for Vivienne and Mika, a bonus ‘Gigolo Mission’ with Betty, and an entire additional episode with the vampiric Sebastian.
Natsume today announced that its upcoming PlayStation Network title, Mystic Chronicles, has gone gold. With its retro-style graphics, story-driven quests, and a turn-based battle system, Natsume is launching the digital version for both PlayStation Vita and PSP on July 16th for $14.99.
EA Sports today announced that Bo Jackson is making his return to video games in NCAA Football 14. Bo will be available as a player in the Ultimate Team mode and everyone who plays the game in the first week and logs onto the Ultimate Team servers will get to add Bo to their squad for free. This launch week version of Bo carries an overall rating of 85, which should allow him to do plenty of damage on starter teams.
If you remember the glory days of “Tecmo Bo” and want nothing less than a godly Bo Jackson, players who open packs will have the chance to snag a rare Epic Bo with a 99 overall rating, including a 99 speed rating, 99 trucking and 98 acceleration.
Telltale Games today announced that The Walking Dead: 400 Days, DLC for The Walking Dead: Season one, is now available for puchase on PlayStation Network. Release follows on PC via Steam and other digital outlets on July 3rd, and Xbox Live Marketplace on July 5th.
The Walking Dead: 400 Days tells new stories of survival through the eyes of five new characters. It is linked to Season One and the forthcoming Season Two by player choice; decisions made in Season One will affect 400 Days and choices made in 400 Days will resonate into Season Two. Playable in any order, the five connected stories are centered in and around a truck stop on a Georgia highway, where players will be thrust into horrifying situations that will test their morals and control the flow of the story through their decisions and actions.

2K Sports and Euroleague Basketball announced today an exclusive multi-year global partnership that will see top teams from the Turkish Airlines Euroleague available in NBA 2K14. Activision today announced a multiplayer mode pre-order incentive for Call of Duty: Ghosts. Fans that pre-order the game at participating retailers will receive the Free Fall downloadable bonus map that features the new dynamic map event mechanic, included with their copy of the game at launch.
As an example of just one of Call of Duty: Ghosts’ new dynamic map events, Free Fall drops players into a shattered skyscraper on the brink of collapse. Sideways staircases climb into the night sky, elevator shafts run along the ground, and what were once windows now form a terrifying glass floor, hundreds of feet above the city streets. Free Fall’s close-quarters combat are then thrown into overdrive as the ruined skyscraper continues to fall throughout the match. With every drop, the accompanying shockwaves cause further destruction, disrupting sightlines and constantly evolving paths and chokepoints as the map changes in real-time.
Call of Duty: Ghost will release on Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC on November 5th. The game will also release on Xbox One and PlayStation 4 later this year.
Paradox Interactive and Paradox Development Studio have released a new video developer diary for the upcoming empire-building game, Europa Universalis IV, focused on the power of religion.
