Square Enix today announced the open beta test and early access dates for Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn. New users will be able to participate in the open beta test from August 17th through the 19th, both for PC and PlayStation 3. In addition, fans that have pre-ordered the game will receive early access and be among the first to play the game beginning August 24th.
Producer and Director Naoki Yoshida also shared some upcoming incentives to get players even more excited for launch:

DrinkBox Studios today announced that its action-platformer Guacamelee! Gold Edition is now available on Steam for $14.99. To celebrate the launch, Drinkbox is offering a special 10 percent promotional discount on Guacamelee! and a free Steam code for Tales from Space: Mutant Blobs Attack from now until August 15th.
Bohemia Interactive today announced that its tactical military shooter, Arma 3, will be available at retail stores and for digital download on September 12th.
Square Enix has released the “All About Kingdom Hearts Final Mix” trailer showcasing the variety of Disney worlds in the game, including Atlantica (The Little Mermaid), Monstro (Pinocchio), and Neverland (Peter Pan). The trailer also includes battles in the Olympus Coliseum in which players can battle against Cloud Strife from Final Fantasy VII. Kingdom Hearts Final MIx will include new abilities, enemies and commands.
Kingdom Hearts HD 1.5 Remix will be available on September 10th exclusively for PlayStation 3.

Kalypso Media today announced that their trading/economic simulation game, Port Royale 3, will be releasing as a comprehensive Gold Edition on PlayStation 3 and PC later this month. Port Royale 3 Gold contains the full version of the strategy game Port Royale 3, as well as the official expansion pack “Treasure Island”; featuring an all new pirate campaign as well as the micro expansions “Harbour Master” and “New Adventures”.
Hasbro and Ubisoft today announced that Ubisoft will develop and publish current and next-generation console games based on some of Hasbro’s most popular gaming brands, including Monopoly, Scrabble, Trivial Pursuit, Risk, Battleship and Cranium.
Rockstar Games today announced that Grand Theft Auto V Avatars and Gamerpics are now available on PlayStation Network and Xbox Live. The set includes Michael, Trevor, Franklin, “Chop” the Rottweiler, a Vespucci Beach goer, and two variations of the Grand Theft Auto V logo.
They are available as a set of Xbox Live Gamerpics for 80 MS Points on the Xbox Live Marketplace and at the PlayStation Store as individual PSN Avatars for $0.49 each.
Also available on Xbox Live is a new collection of GTAV themed outfits and items for your Xbox 360 Avatar. The outfits are priced at 320 MS Points each while the individual tees are available for 80 MS Points. Chop the Dog or the Parachute can be had for 240 MS Points.
