Milestone Launches RIDE 4

Milestone today announced that RIDE 4, the latest chapter of its motorcycle racing franchise, is now available for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC via Steam. Additionally, RIDE 4 will be available on Xbox Series X and PlayStation 5 on January 21st, 2021.

Pikmin 3 Deluxe Demo Now Available on Switch

Nintendo has announced that a free demo of Pikmin 3 Deluxe is available today in Nintendo eShop for Nintendo Switch. Download the demo to try out Story mode and Mission mode on your own or with another player. If you purchase the full game, which launches on October 30th, your progress from the demo will transfer over. As an extra bonus, defeating the first boss in the demo and transferring your save data to the full version of the game will immediately unlock the Ultra-Spicy difficulty option for the full game.

Mafia: Definitive Edition Debuts Noir Mode in First Post-Launch Update

Today, 2K and Hangar 13 released the first post-launch update for Mafia: Definitive Edition, which adds new features free for all players. Among these new features is Noir Mode, a visual option that paints Mafia: Definitive Edition’s gameplay and cinematics with a vintage black-and-white look, complete with moody film grain effects to further accentuate the game’s Prohibition Era aesthetic.

Today’s update also includes new heads-up display (HUD) options that allow players to switch the in-world main objective marker on and off; switch mini-map enemy markers on and off in all difficulty settings; enable or disable navigation features like turn-by-turn instructions and mini-map GPS; and enable a new minimal HUD mode that hides HUD elements like the mini-map, speedometer, and objective text.

Hyper Scape Season 2: The Aftermath Now Available

Today, Ubisoft announced Hyper Scape Season 2: The Aftermath is now available on PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. In Season 2: The Aftermath, the free-to-play battle royale game introduces new content including a hack, weapon, Hyper Scape Crowncast features, gameplay lore, a new Battle Pass, and customization items.

Baldur’s Gate 3 Out Now in Early Access

Larian Studios announced that its long-awaited RPG Baldur’s Gate 3 has today released into early access for PC on Steam and GOG.com, as well as Google Stadia. Players can now enjoy the first act of the game, which spans roughly 25 hours of content, 46,000 lines of English dialogue, 600 NPCs, and 146 spells and actions. The game’s character creation system lets players pick from 16 races and subraces as well as six different classes, each with their own subclasses.

Watch Dogs: Legion Releases New Story Trailer, Unveils Post-Launch Content

Today, Ubisoft released the story trailer for Watch Dogs: Legion. Zero-Day, an unknown entity, has framed the secret underground resistance, DedSec, for the bombings that contributed to the fall of London. In Watch Dogs: Legion, players must fight to liberate London by building a resistance.

Ubisoft also announced that the online multiplayer mode of Watch Dogs: Legion will be available on December 3rd as part of a free game update for all Watch Dogs: Legion players. The online mode will include the following features:

  • Free-roam open-world co-op where players can team up with their friends for up to four-player co-op and explore the city of London and participate in side activities
  • New co-op missions for two-to-four players using new co-op gameplay mechanics and giving players the opportunity to recruit the perfect team
  • Four-player co-op Tactical Ops missions which will require teamwork and efficiency
  • The first available Player-vs-Player (PvP) mode, Spiderbot Arena, where four-to-eight players control armed spiderbots and compete in a free-for-all deathmatch

New free content for the single-player mode will be available in a future update in 2021, and will include:

  • New characters with new abilities
  • New mission content
  • A New Game Plus mode

Additionally, players who acquire the Season Pass of Watch Dogs: Legion will get access to Watch Dogs: Legion – Bloodline, a new storyline which includes Aiden Pearce from the original Watch Dogs game and Wrench from Watch Dogs 2, fully playable in the single player campaign and online, along with two other characters which were unveiled today:

  • Darcy, a member of the Assassin Order, thanks to a cross-over with Assassin’s Creed
  • Mina, a subject of transhuman experiments, who possesses the ability to mind control individuals

Watch Dogs: Legion will release on October 29th on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, Stadia, and PC via the Epic Games Store and Uplay. The game will also release on Xbox Series X | S on November 10th and digitally on PlayStation 5 on November 12th. The physical version of the game on PS5 will be available on November 24th.

Yakuza: Like a Dragon – “The Quest Begins” Trailer

Sega has released a new trailer, “The Quest Begins” for its RPG Yakuza: Like a Dragon. In the trailer, the down-and-out Yakuza scrapper, Ichiban Kasuga, describes his videogame-esque heroic journey that will take him through an array of minigames in a veritable underworld playground. Yokohama features a plethora of distractions, including kart racing, batting cages, Sega arcades, vocational school tests, and the ability to manage and grow your own company.

Yakuza: Like a Dragon launches on Xbox Series X | S, Xbox One, PlayStation 4, Windows 10 and Steam on November 10th. The game will be available for PlayStation 5 on March 2nd.
